Week 8's Players of the Week

    Offense:
UCLA, Sr TE Morrell Presley - 5 rec, 233 yds, 4 TD

    Defense:
Tulsa, Fr MLB Zach Rutledge - 9 tackles (TFL), INT, FF

    Big User vs User Game

    Kent State 7-1 (5-0) @ Bowling Green 7-0 (5-0)
Regional Broadcast: Friday, October 26th, 6:00 PM

Not only is this a rivalry game, but it can either clinch the MAC East or still leave it up for grabs. If RaveDown wins, he pretty much wraps up the East if I'm not mistaken, and if Shrike wins he improves his championship chances and also brings Akron back into the mix...It is very likely that with a win tonight we could see a three way tie later down the road.

I think turnovers play a huge factor. The fact that Bowling Green has not allowed a sack or thrown an interception is very impressive. Kent State will either have to force some turnovers or play a perfect game on offense with good ball control and clock management.

    Column 1 Column 2
    Winner Score
    Bowling Green 31-9

    National Broadcasts:

    #12 Oregon 5-2 (4-1) @ #3 UCLA 7-0 (5-0)

This is step 1 of 2 in locking up the PAC-10. If he can beat Oregon it will be smooth sailing until he meets up with USC!

    Column 1 Column 2
    Winner Score
    UCLA 54-21

    Regional Broadcasts:

    UTEP 1-7 (1-4) @ Tulsa 5-3 (3-3)

Another rivalry game. Does Beaver come back this game? Either way Tulsa destroys UTEP. Peoples is 2nd in rushing yards among all active RBs with 4031 yards, only 100 yards behind Washington's Senior HB Chris Polk.

    Column 1 Column 2
    Winner Score
    Tulsa 52-28

    Marshall 3-5 (1-3) @ #17 Southern Miss 6-2 (5-1)

Southern Miss won't lose. They can't lose. With another loss they can say bye bye to the C-USA Championship rematch with Rice, and will hang their heads with shame! Could Coach 1ke really leave Southern Miss with out winning the conference championship, and finishing unranked?!

    Column 1 Column 2
    Winner Score
    Southern Miss 54-24

    Boston College 3-5 (2-4) @ Houston 4-4 (3-2)

It's a trap!!! Don't let BC's record fool you! They lost an 8 point game to #4 Miami (last year's NC), another to #3 Clemson (currently 7-0), and a 5 point game to @ Wake Forest. Can't say I didn't warn you.

THIS JUST IN - ...They got blanked by #14 Virginia Tech, 51-0! WOW

    Column 1 Column 2
    Winner Score

    Northwestern 5-2 (2-2) @ #10 Purdue 6-1 (4-0)

After a big win over #2 Michigan, in which we didn't play anywhere close to our best game...expect Denard Robinson to put on a show. Purdue will be relentless, and look to put up big numbers against a pretty good Northwestern squad.

    Column 1 Column 2
    Winner Score
    Purdue 42-26

    SMU 3-5 (1-3) @ #21 Rice 7-1 (4-0)

Rivalry game. Will Rice be the last one to get their game in again? That is the real question :D WTF!!

    Column 1 Column 2
    Winner Score
    Rice 65-21

    Other Broadcasts:

    Akron 6-1 (4-1) @ Toledo 1-6 (1-3)

Be careful highyella! I came down to the wire with these clowns and their goofy jerseys 3x in a row. Don't worry if they line up for a game winning FG. It'll be wide left, or was it wide right? I don't know, but they'll miss!!

    Column 1 Column 2
    Winner Score
    Akron 62-0

    ECU 5-3 (3-2) @ Tulane 2-5 (2-4)

You never know! The last time ECU came off a close loss to a user team they almost let Memphis steal a win. Be careful.

    Column 1 Column 2
    Winner Score
    ECU 41-21

My thought process on this is that we put a capsule together from the first 3 seasons and each of the recipients of these awards could put these in their trophy case or stick it up their asses what ever floats their boats.

yeah that was a dick move J. I thought I had that guy dead to rights. But the tough loss was the 6'7"225 lb LB that went to RICE over Houston. WTF was this kid thinking. The rumors are swirling that Coach Minimum won't be there next year? Me thinks I got roots now in Houston soooooooooo I could be staying to kick Joe Fords ass for the next couple of years for making such a dumbass move.

It was a sad, sad day, but we got the 'W'. siiiiiiiiiigh

Tulsa wins UGLY against rival UTEP.

I hope Shavodrick is ready to go...my puss backup went an anemic 5/14 68yds 0/2!

On the bright side of things....

    Peoples - 29 carries for 211 yards and 2 TD (long 74)
Horner - 14 carries for 83 yards and 2 TD
Mueller (FB) - 5 carries for 28 yards

The run game is clicking nicely...on pace for 2 1,000 yard rushers, a first for me.
