    Marshall 55 - UAB 20

Marshall served notice tonight that the Thundering Herd is indeed thundering. In their second game in coach Barnes' offense, the Herd quickly showed that they would be owning the night, going up 20-13 in the first quarter. Frustrated by UABs no huddle offense the entire first half, coach Barnes decided to unload on UAB in the second half, shutting up UAB's crowd by dropping 28 points in the 4th quarter, 14 of those points scored by Marshall's second team mop up crew.

AJ Graham is hoping to make a late in the season push for offensive rookie of the year and perhaps freshman all-american team as he threw for 390 yards and 6 TDs.

The Marshall thundering herd are back, and they are hungry to face Memphis next week.

    Tulsa 38 Rice 32

Tulsa, OK - The Tulsa Golden Hurricane moved to an impressive 8-1 overall record Saturday with a 38-32 win over the Rice Owls. The victory left Coach mikedredd frustrated because the G-Hurricane came out flat "This is why I hate this Homecoming stuff, my guys are too worried about the parties and cheerleaders until the Owls came out and hit us in the mouth!" The hit to the mouth Coach mikedredd was talking about was Rice jumping out to a 17-0 lead midway through the second quarter. Tulsa rallied behind redshirt junior QB GJ Kinne who was 21-36 for 355 yards with 4TD and 1INT. After a hard hit late in the 3rd quarter Kinne was sidelined for the game with a hip injury, but with Tulsa up 35-17 it seemed hopeless for Rice. But two quick TD's and a two-point conversion to make it 35-32 not to mention a suddenly ineffective offense without Kinne, Tulsa had to buckle down. "It was time for someone to step up and our seniors did especially Jamad." Jamad Williams the senior HB led a drive that ended in a 17 yard FG to end the scoring. Early reports on Kinne seem to indicate his injury is minor. "Atleast I know GJ for one won't be dancing tonight," said coach mikedred "next time we might not be so lucky."

    UCF 28 - Houston 35

The Knights have finally had their winning streak snapped at 8. The game plan was simple, stop the Air Raid “O” like you did against ECU. Obviously it was easier said than done.
1st half would almost be all Houston as they were shutting down the UCF rushing attack and scoring through the air 3 times before the Knights could even gets on the board. 21-7 Houston at the half.
2nd half had a revitalized UCF team coming out ready to play. The Knights scored 2 TD’s while the Cougars could only muster up 2 FG’s. The second score for the Knights was an audible to a deep pass as the Cougars would have eight in the box trying to slow down Brynn Harvey.
Fast forward to the fourth quarter, Houston leads by just 3. The Knights drive to the 14 yard line looking to take the lead. Calabrese calls a pass, 4 WR set. All his options were covered so he squeaks out of the pocket, up the middle…TD! Knights have a one point lead with 3:00 left on the clock. Case Keenum would have his team in the end zone in no time, throwing a pass to his TE Tyler Chambers. 2 minutes left on the clock, UCF is shut down on offense, sealing their fate.
The Knights turn their sites to next week now as they will meet an undefeated Southern Miss squad and hopefully keep their conference championship hopes alive.
