    some thoughts:

I wonder who won POTW last week? ;)

Crumb just needs one more baby!

Mid Tenn just hauled in quite a week's worth of recruits considering his team got smashed.

    and finally

I'm puzzled as to how a 2 loss Western Michigan team that I beat is ranked ahead of me...I'm even more confused as to why Steamer's 3 loss team is ranked ahead of mine...

Looking at my schedule, it's not exactly set up to make it easy to get that last win. Utah State at home, ranked. Kent State, ranked then Army, ranked and undefeated.

To be honest though, I wasn't expecting 5 wins out of this team to start off with as I had to replace a lot of players offensively and defensively. However, I'm definitely not complaining. :)

If you could beat Army, I'd appreciate it... I can easily run the table...I don't have any tough conference games left ;)

Temple is giving me all I can handle. It's a rivalry game and their LB core has speeds of 90 and 87 with matching acceleration! I can't run on these guys.

Utah State Extends Win Streak To 5 Over EMU 35-14

#18 Utah State entered Eastern Michigan with winning revenge on their minds, while getting to their 5th straight win. The Aggies got a wake-up call at the 4 minute mark when EMU's Chance broke off for a 56 yard TD run to take a 7-0 lead. USU's QB Adrian Sapp who is recovering from a foot fracture entered the game to lead the offense. Sapp connected to WR Kenny Hall for 3 consecutive completions, the third being a screen pass that Hall took 35 yards untouched for a TD to tie the game at 7.

Just before the 2nd quarter, EMU runningback chance broke his shoulder and was out for the rest of the season. His 56 yard TD would turn to be the only offensive TD for EMU as the offense struggled without him. Despite this, however, the Eagle defense stepped up and created a score, when Goodwin intercepted Sapp's pass and took it 53 yards for a touchdown to take a 14-7 lead. Utah State would answer just 3 plays later, when RB Harvey Davis took a handoff and broke a tackle that left him with open field all the way to the end zone for a 60 yard Touchdown. Late in the 2nd, DE Courtney Miller busted up a run play and forced a fumble which was recovered by DT John Warren in Eagle territory. The Aggies capitalized when RB Jeremy Freeman ran for a 24 yard TD.

Utah State opened the 3rd quarter with the ball and scored in a minute and a half on Freeman's 2 yard run to take a 28-14 lead. Down by 14 with the ball at their own 40, EMU pulled the trigger and went for it on 4th and 2 to try and stay in the game. Running back Waters took the handoff and broke out for 37 yards before being caught at the 25 yard line. The momentum did not last long though, as on the following 3rd down, Warren sacked the QB forcing a desperate 4th and 18 attempt that was stopped short.

Utah State took the following drive down the field and was finished with a 3 yard TD run by freshman running back Billy McClain, the 3rd Aggie RB to score a TD. This would be the only score of the 4th quarter. EMU drove into Aggie territory but was stopped on 4th down again. An interception by Aggie linebacker Thomas off of a deflection sealed the game and the Aggies ran out the remainder of the clock.

Player of the game honors go to Utah State defensive tackle John Warren. The 2013 Lombardi award winner led the defense with 4 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and a seperate fumble recovery. Running back Harvey Davis also carried 11 times for 130 yards and a TD.

Utah State improves to 8-3 after winning thier 5th straight game. Eastern Michigan falls to 5-5 as they seek to gain bowl eligibility. Utah State finishes the regular season next week on senior night vs Arkansas State. The Aggies get a long 4 week break before their bowl destination is announced.

lol That was a great time for FS fans. Just too easy to make fun of rival Hawaii haha. I think if they had kept the Rainbow mascot that Nike would have hooked them up with some wild Pro Combats though.

Ahh. Fresno State. Where the greatest moments in the program's history are when there was a Rainbow mascot at another school.
