Minnesota Vikings now stand alone atop the NFC North.
The Minnesota Vikings went into this Week 11 matchup with the same record as their opponent, the Detroit Lions @ 5-4. The winner would hold the outright NFC North division lead.
The Vikings recieved the opening kickoff and capped it off with a beautiful 35-yd strike from Tebow to WR Simeon Rice down the right seam. On the ensuing kickoff, Lions KR Cletis Gordon was hammered by a Vikings gunner and fumbled the football. Vikes recover. 4 plays later, HB Toby Gerhart punched it in from 4-yds out.
Later in the 1st QB David Garrard was picked off by veteran CB Al Harris in Lion territory. Again, HB Toby Gerhart bulls his way in from 4-yds.
    1st Qtr.
    Lions-0
    Vikes-21
The Lions regroup and put a nice drive together. With 1:56 left in the half QB Davi Garrard connects with Lions newly aquired WR Mike Sims-Walker for a 10-yd TD.
    Half
    Lions-7
    Vikes-21
The Lions managed some good drives in the 2nd half but the turnover bug got the best of them. David Garrard seemed to be on a different page than his receivers and maybe had his worst day as a Lion ending the game with 4 Ints.
FGs by each team an 11-yd TD run by Adrian Peterson late in the 4th pretty much sums up the 2nd half.
    FINAL
    Lions-10
    Vikes-31
GG Winuvas. Turnovers change games completely upside down especially when they get you in a hole early.

So does lack of talent behind the sticks. Games like this make me wonder why I bother.
