    Kansas 38
    Oklahoma St. 21

Kansas looked pretty bad in the 1st quarter as usual and QB Mike Cummings was benched after going 3-9 in the 1st quarter. Jordan Webb looked great tossing 4 TD passes and 283 passing yards in 3 quarters of work. Webb also added 40 rushing yards, and his mobility was the reason he wasn’t the starter. Nobody knows whether Webb or Cummings will start the next game for the #1 Jayhawks. Kansas posted 517 total yards, which is their best number on the season. The defense was shaky early, allowing 2 TD drives in the 1st quarter, but shut out OK State in the 2nd half.

Jordan Webb (QB)- 12-18 for 283 yards, 4 TD, 0 INT, 40 rush yards
James Sims (HB)- 7 carries for 41 yards
Anthony Pierson (HB)- 9 carries for 62 yards, TD
Darrian Miller (HB)- 7 carries for 9 yards, 65-yard TD reception
Marquis Jackson (WR)- 4 receptions for 96 yards, TD
Kale Pick (WR)- 3 receptions for 67 yards, TD
Darius Willis (MLB)- 12 tackles, 2 TFL

    Seminoles upend Hokies 52-28
In what was billed as a close game became a blowout as visiting Florida State defeated Virginia Tech. Timely plays by the Seminole defense coupled with an oustanding rushing attack led to the victory. The Seminole's scored first on Chris Thompson's 32 yard run, it was the beginning of a great day for Thompson but more on that later. After forcing the Hokies to punt on their next possession FSU QB EJ Manuel promptly gave the ball back to the home team when he threw an interception to CB Kyshoen Jarrett. The Hokies quickly made Manuel pay for his mistake when Logan Thomas found WR Keith Jones in the endzone for a 22 yard score.
The final 1:46 of the game was the turning point of the game and a pair of mistakes by Thomas put Virginia Tech into a hole they could not recover from. After a 44 yard field goal from Dustin Hopkins, Thomas saw the FSU corners playing off his receivers and tried to complete a quick pass but overthrew his target and the ball went right into the arms of CB Greg Reid who run untouched 25 yards to make it 17-7 for the visitors. After driving downfield on their next offensive series Thomas once again threw the ball to Reid for managed to elude a couple of Hokies and ran it back for his second pick 6 in the final 1:14 of the half.
After forcing the Seminoles to punt to start the 3rd quarter, the Hokies went to their running game and the VT offensive line absolutely dominated their opponents and finished off their drive with a 1 yard touchdown run by HB Tony Gregory cutting the lead to 24-14. The Seminoles reestablished their 17 point quickly as Devonta Freeman took a handoff on the FSU 28 , made it through a crowd and scored on a 72 yard run. But once again the Hokies managed to cut into the lead as Thomas made a perfect throw to WR Marcus Davis for a 50 yard touchdown making the score 31-21 as the quarter expired.
Once again any hopes that Hokie fans would have of comback were dashed as the Seminoles scored on their first play for the second straight possession when Thompson took a handoff 81 yards for another touchdown. Even though VT needed a quick score to have any serious thoughts of making it a game, they were unable to complete the big play and instead had to settle for shorter passes and runs. With starter Logan Thomas out nursing a minor injury backup Mark Leal found Marcus Davis on a 6 yard score making it a two possession game once again at 38-28.
With all 3 timeouts remaining VT decided to kick the ball back to the Seminoles hoping that the defense could force a quick 3 and out. Which was something they had been unable to do since the opening drive of the half. Unfortunately they defense again failed to hold as Thompson scored his 3rd touchdown of the game, this time a 48 yarder to put the game away for good. FSU added another touchdown when Xavier Rhodes intercepted his second pass of the day for a touchdown giving the final score of 52-28.
GG LSUTRUTH. Really horrible luck on the drops you had through the entire game. Goodluck next year in the SEC. :)
