FSU smashes Yellow Jackets as run continues
It was another magnificent outing for the Seminole defense as they held Georgia Tech to just 76 yards of total offense while forcing 2 turnovers, returning one of them for a touchdown. Jacob Coker quarterback also continued his great season going 12/19 for 272 yards with 3 touchdowns. The FSU run game struggled a bit as starter RB Devonta Freeman is still out with a knee injury he suffered against Miami (thanks Bucs :p). Georgia Tech scored their only touchdown of the game on a 101 yard kick return by Tony Zenon but FSU returner Kevin Johnson was not to be outdone as he returned a kickoff 95 yards himself on the very next play for a score.

Clemson traveled to Winston Salem NC and dominates 38-3. The Tigers raced to a 28-0 halftime lead. The game was nice but it was VERY costly. Starting QB Cole Stoudt was lost for the season on a hit as he was running out of bounds....... WOW that SUCKS....... DJ Howard runs for 103 yards and Bobby Barrett runs for 81 yards and a TD as the Tigers played a very conservative game once they lost their QB.

    TCU Outshoots BYU 65-55
Coming off of a reeling, heartbreaking loss in Tuscaloosa in which they held a 43-17 halftime lead, there was talk that this might be a letdown game. BYU came to Fort Worth at just 1-8, and TCU might be excused for not getting fully motivated for this one. It almost cost them. The fireworks started right from the opening kickoff, which TCU returned for a TD. BYU would answer with a quick strike, 2 play, 69 yard TD drive and that was just the beginning. If not for two pick 6's from TCU, this one might have been a little different. The Frog defense had no answer for BYU's aerial attack, which would end up accounting for 591 yards and 5 TDs. Twice in the 3rd quarter, BYU closed the gap to 13, but each time TCU would have a response. A late onside kick and score closed it to a nerve wracking 10 point lead, but the 2nd onside kick attempt failed, and TCU escaped with the W.

The Cougars would end the day with 700 total yards, compared with TCU's 397. Most of TCU's yards also came through the air, as Trevone Boykin accounted for 329 passing yards and 4 TDs. In the end, the turnover battle decided this one, as the home Frogs didn't turn the ball over once, and created 3 for themselves.

Despite the win, coach Ulrich could be heard in Dallas from the locker room post game. "597 (expletive deleted) yards? Are you kidding me?" reporters heard from the hallway. "You let a 1-8 team come into your house and put up 700 (expletive deleted) yards? You boys better be ready to play come Monday, because Lord knows you didn't play today."

TCU heads out on the road next week to take on Oklahoma State.

Oklahoma is victorious in this Big 12 shootout at Kyle field, as they take down the Aggies from Texas A&M. Both teams' passing attacks kept them in the game and led to the high scoring affair. Despite losing WR Keith Harrell for 4 weeks and WR Mark Poole for the second half, OU was still able to succeed in the passing game thanks to QB Blake Bell and their deep corps of receivers. Return specialist Brad McMillan had 2 kickoff returns for touchdowns. Brandon Williams had a great day running and catching the ball, although he was once again held under 100 yards on the ground.
    Key performers:
QB Blake Bell - 30/39, 306 yards, 4 TD, INT
HB Brandon Williams - 12 carries, 94 yards, 2 TD, 4 rec, 43 yards, TD
WR Sheldon McClain - 6 rec, 88 yards, TD
TE Max Stevenson - 4 rec, 38 yards, TD
HB Brad McMillan - 7 kick returns, 344 yards, 2 TD, 3 punt returns, 31 yards
