Giants welcomed the Seahawks to Giants Stadium for a face off of two teams heading in opposite directions. Last year, the Giants were near the top of the NFC all year while the Seahawks were stuck in the basement. This year with the emergence of rookie QB Jamarcus Austin, the Seahawks are in a tight race for a wildcard playoff spot and the Giants are just trying to get their 2nd win. Nevertheless, Seahawks came expecting a battle and that is exactly what they got.

The Giants game plan was to run, run, and run some more...and they were generally successful. There weren't any big runs but they were chain moving runs by both Brandon Jacobs and Willis Mcgahee. On the defensive side of the ball, Giants were doing a good job of bottling up rookie Kenarious Fluellen and generally preventing the Seahawks from really moving the ball.
After going up 7-0 in the 2nd quarter on a 2 yard run from Mcgahee, Seahawks answered with a 32 yard scamper from Jamarcus Austin. Giants answered right back with a powerful 9 yard td run from Brandon Jacobs. On the very next kickoff, Santana Moss returned the kick for a TD and the score going into half was 14-14.

In the 2nd half the Seahawks made adjustments to stop the run and they worked. SS Roman Harper was brought into the box to stop the run and Coach Bates trusted his corners to contain Steve Smith and Larry Fitzgerald 1 on 1. This adjustment paid off as the Giants were only able to muster 3 pts in the 2nd half. To the contrary, Seahawks offense finally got going as they put up 17 pts, including 2 td passes from Austin
    .
GG Dave and good luck with the rest of your season.

Player of game goes to Jamarcus Austin(11-20 180 yards, 2TD, 1 ruTD)

Are you saying you played man/man 8 in the box the whole 2nd half?
