OWLS WIN AGAIN IN FINAL MINUTES, STREAK UP TO 6!!!

Fans of FAU are realizing that they need to keep their heart doctors on speed dial during Owls games. Once again FAU mounted a fierce comeback and won a game in the final minutes. This time they took out in state rivals, the Panthers of FIU by the score of 42-41. This was FAU's 6th game that was determined by 6 points or less.

FIU looked like they would cruise to victory as they took a 31-13 lead in the second. FAU was unable to make stops and then would have to settle for field goals. It all changed in the second half as the FAU offense found a nice rhythm and the defense tightened up considerably.

    Highlights
    David Kooi, QB - 27-43, 372, 1 td, 2 int. 10 carries, 46 yards
Alfred Morris, HB - 13 carries, 60 yards, 1 td. 2 rec. 42 yards (left game due to injury)
DeAndre Richardson, WR - 10 rec. 138 yards
Marcus Cunningham, WR - 5 rec. 72 yards

FAU is now 6-3 and 6-0 in the Sun Belt. They travel to Alabama to take on Troy next Saturday. An FAU win clinches the Sun Belt championship.

Toledo is back on top with a drubbing of Western Michigan. After losing a game to NIU that no one can remember, Toledo has created a log jam at the top of the MAC West Standings with a three way tie between WMU, NIU and Toledo.

Freshman KR Kishon Wilcher took back the opening kick for a td....then on his next turn, he did it again. The stifling Toledo D took over from there, forcing three picks, one of them by MLB Dan Molls was returned for a TD. Watch out folks, this Toledo team will be challenging for a national championship...next season.

I just tried to play my game and if froze as I recieved the second half kick-off. I was up 13-10 at that point with the ball. I have a feeling that the secont time around is not going to be so pretty and AF is going to kill me.

I'm actually pissed about losing this game. Lost 42-38 to Akron after I sacked them 4 times, intercepted 5 passes (returned one for a TD), and rushed for 205 yards before my back got injured. But here's a video for you guys.
