Welcome to ESPN's College Gameday, live from Eugene, Oregon, the site of this week's Game of the Week between the #3 Stanford Cardinal and the #1 Oregon Ducks. I'm Chris Fowler and I'll be joined by Herbie and the Coach to discuss this week's news from around the world of college football as well as preview this week's great slate of action on the gridiron.

There is also another great game lined up for today so after our broadcast tune into ESPN U for the preveiw between the #4 Ohio State Buckeyes and the #2 Wisconsin Badgers.
But, first we start here in Eugene, where Gameday is this week. Let's welcome Kate Upton with the latest news on this week's Game of the Week between the Cardinal and the Ducks.

"This Stanford team has made everyone forget about #1 overall pick Andrew Luck. On the other side, the fans memories of Darron Thomas and LaMichael James have also been replaced. Both teams come into this one undefeated. It will be a battle for who will represent the Pac-12 North and possibly for a spot in the national championship.
Stanford came into this same game last year undefeated, but were beat by 23 points. They will look for revenge in this one, and will definately keep it closer. They are led on defense by Senior LB Chase Thomas who leads the nation in tackles. On offense the star is of course, Heisman candidate HB Stepfan Taylor, whom the Cardinal have relied hevily upon throught the entire season. He runs behind one of, if not the best offensive line in the country. If he has a big game, the Cardinal return to Palo Alto undefeated.
Oregon has been cruising through their schedule this year, much due to their offense. HB Kenjon Barner is in the Heisman drivers seat, and this could be his signature win, that all Heisman winners need. QB Bryan Bennett will have to be smart with his reads in order to score on this great Stanford defense. On defense, the Ducks will look for 3 seniors to step it up including, LBs Michael Clay, and Dion Jordan, and also FS John Boyett. This looks to be whoever runs the ball better will win the game and possibly...the Hesiman trophy as well.
    Players to Watch
    For Stanford-HB Stepfan Taylor

This isn't the same old Big-10 anymore. Neither team will rely soley on the ground game in this one. It is a battle for who will represent the Big-10 Leaders and possibly for a spot in the NC.
Ohio State has had some close games this year, but with coach Chris Farley at the helm has had the clutch factor and has been able to pull them out. Sophomore QB Braxton Miller has been the offensive firepower for the Buckeyes, but hasn't had to have spectacular numbers due to OSU's great defense. That defense is led by Senior DE John Simon, who is guaranteed to be in the backfield all day. Braxton Miller will need to have a great game in order to put the Buckeyes in NC contention.
Wisconsin has a bit more of a balacned attack. They rely on two HBs in Montee Ball and James White, who both usually run wild through most defenses. It won't be as easy this game, but they will have to try to get their yards in order to set up the play action game. Speaking of play action QB Danny O'Brien runs it perfectly. He has been very efficient, and will have to be as good, if not better than he has all season to defeat the Buckeyes.
    Players to Watch
    For Ohio State-QB Braxton Miller

    For Wisconsin-QB Danny O'Brien

This is the matchup that I've been waiting to see. Old blood vs new blood, both known to beat me every game they play me.

Man, the top 5 is gonna look completely different after this week. All 5 teams will involve user contests. footballfan952 has a chance to save his season a bit by knocking off Iowa, who's been a huge sleeper team this year.
