Weekly recap isn't showing up on the dynasty wire, but we've advanced. 3 byes and the user game is being played tomorrow afternoon. Let's shoot for a quick one. Would be great if I could advance after playing Jbek

The stage is set for a Showdown in the Shoe, as #11 Penn State travels to Columbus for a bout with the #2 Buckeyes with conference and national title aspirations on the line. Ohio State and its top-ranked defense will be tasked with shutting down Christian Hackenberg and the high-powered Nittany Lions offense, much like they did last season when the Bucks suffocated the PSU attack en route to a 38-7 victory. But the boys from Happy Valley will be hungry this time around, feeling embarrassed after last years blowout and slighted by the conference for making them travel to Columbus in consecutive years. Coach Speyer has invited some of the nation's elite high school talent to Columbus to embrace the Horseshoe's atmosphere, which is sure to be wild and rowdy for this rivalry match. Will the Buckeyes be able to give Buckeye Nation a win and move one step closer to the B1G title game, or will Penn State rain on OSU's parade? Post your predictions below!

That is going to be a tough game on a young QB. If Jbek can get the ground game going, and open up the PA rollouts, that offense is tough. But Hackenberg needs to be secure with the ball. How will OSU's young line hold up against a veteran front seven?

Young appropriate describes OSU's offense, but we've held up very well so far this season

BIG PLAY BUCKS EDGE PAST PENN STATE
    [IMG][IMG]
    42 - 39
For the second straight year, Ohio State scored on its first play from scrimmage against Penn State. This time around the catalyst to OSU's quick strike attack was James Clark, who took a counter off a jet sweep for a 75-yard touchdown. Penn State didn't do itself any favors on its first play from scrimmage, as Christian Hackeberg pitched an option right to the OSU defense. With plays like that the Bucks were up 21-0 early in the first.

But unlike last year, the Nittany Lions were resolved to make a comeback, and eventually tied the game at 21-21 in the second quarter. The tie didn't last long however, as James Clark struck again. This time the speedy wide receiver bounced a kick return to the outside and raced past the PSU pursuit for an 106-yard TD. The Bucks would find more big plays in the second half, as Cam Burrows return an interception on the opening play of the second half and Jalin Marshall took a punt return back to the endzone to give OSU a 42-28 lead. Coach Jbek's squad had one last comeback in them, and cut the lead to 3, but the Bucks ran the remaining 3 minutes off the clock for a narrow win.

    Game Notes
= Ohio State scored on a kick return, punt return and returned an interception for a touchdown
= Ohio State's defense picked off Hackenberg twice
= JT Barrett had his worst game of the season, throwing 3 picks

the amount of turnovers that happen just because you are the away team blows my mind on this game, its like all throwing accuracy is gone.

With a game pledged by turnovers the Longhorns are very lucky to have come out with another W against a ranked opponent. This time it was against OSU with the final score being 35-28 with the game winning coming from Senior RB Malcolm Brown with .45 left to go in the fourth. "The OSU fanbase was wild tonight and really seemed to shake our guys early" is what coach Xavier had to say after the game. "Luckily our defense yet again stood strong and only allowed OSU one TD in the 2nd Half". The offense had to resort to pounding the ball after QB David Ash throwing multiple picks.

Johnathon Gray- 163 yds 1 td
Malcolm Brown- 48 yds 4 Tds
