I recruited that fullback largely due to his name.

#16 Utah State Limps Through Finish Line; Beating Arky St. 28-19
    [IMG]

When the 2014 season began with a 3-0 start and top 25 rankings, Utah State had big hopes. But after dropping 3 straight games by just one possession each, the Aggies had a new goal -- Finish the remainder of the season 6-0. Utah State breezed through the first 5(except for a scare vs. ULL) but would still have to beat 8-2 Arkansas State.
Things looked bright for USU early, after forcing Arky St to punt, and on offense, Harvey Davis took a 3rd down carry for 72 yards to the end zone for a quick 7-0 lead. ASU answered with a long drive that was finally stopped at the 3 yard line where the Red Wolves were forced to settle for a field goal. On the following drive, USU QB Sapp was sacked and fumbled the ball at the Aggie 30 yard line. Arkansas was stopped on 3 straight plays, and failed on a fourth down conversion.
Utah State looked as if they were going to extend the lead early in the second, when Sapp’s pass to Joseph Jones was complete, and Jones shrugged off a tackle and was off to the races, until ASU corner Tryon made the hustle play of the game and stripped the ball at the 15 yard line. The only scoring drive of the second quarter would be a long 4:23 drive by the Red Wolves to take a 10-7 lead before half.
Down by 4, Utah State answered on the opening drive of the 3rd with a drive capped off by senior Jeremy Freeman with a 4 yard TD. The two teams would go on to trade interceptions. Utah State had the ball at the 50 trying to extend the lead when Sapp was once again sacked, forcing a fumble giving ASU prime field position….

Again, however, the Aggies would hold ASU to a field goal, keeping a slim lead of 14-13 with 7 minutes remaining in the 4th. Utah State followed by going 3 n out, but the punt would turn to be the game changing play. As Tryon brought in the punt he was blasted by Utah State CB Horne, and fumbled the ball which was recovered by fellow CB Sean Young and taken for a TD for a 21-13 lead. With a chance to tie, ASU turned the ball over on an interception. The Aggies burnt 4 minutes off the clock before Harvey Davis took it 12 yards for a TD to take a 28-13 lead. ASU responded with a quick 6, but a failed 2 pt conversion and failed onside kick ended the game.

Senior Jeremy Freeman was named player of the game on senior night with 10 carries for 58 yards and 2 TDs. Harvey Davis also had 11 carries for 114 yards and 1 TD. 4 year starter Sr. WR Anthony Bonds finished his last game in Logan, and will finish the season as the career record holder for receiving yards(3,176) and receiving TDs(30). Utah State completes the regular season with a 9-3 record and finishes 2nd in the West division. The Aggies get 4 weeks off before finding their bowl fait.

Oh by the way, UAB wins its first CUSA game against a CPU lead MTSU, 49-9. My RB's had a field day with the Blue Raiders defense. Dont know the stats off hand but Andrews went over 200 yards and Williams might have eclipse 100 as well.

Cant wait for this season to be over with! I still plan on ruining some Potato Magic before the year is done though...this will be our bowl game!

UL-Lafayette struck first in this battle and lead most of the first quarter. The Cajun's QB Josh Wright connected on an 11 yard pass to WR Todd Britton 1:50 in to take an early lead. Army answered back and QB Barry Brunetti got loose for a 69 yard option keeper after breaking a tackle to tie it back up just two plays later.
ULL's Wright connected with Britton again to take the lead back. After realizing the pass was working Army realized they had to make some adjustments on D. Army answered back on a 62 yard pass to WR Geoffrey Bacon who made his defender miss badly and took it to the endzone untouched.
Army then picked Wright on the next Cajun possession and Brunetti later connected with Jason Merritt for a 44 yard TD strike against cover 0 again to take the lead back. Army would never trail again after this score by adding 3 unanswered TD's in the second quarter to stretch the lead to 42-14 at half.
After 2 first half interceptions the Cajuns pulled Wright in favor of injured Ingram. UL-L tried to make a run in the 4th but Army kept their starters in and weathered the storm, Answering themselves on two Brady Earnhardt runs to keep the lead and move to 11-0 for the year.
Army Co-Players of the game are shared this week by QB Barry Brunetti and HB Brady Earnhardt

    B. Earnhardt 27Carries 202YDS 3TD

I have all of the above. but I have an actual bear skin rug, not a poster of a bear skin rug.

We're kicking off whenever Nik gets his ass in gear.
