    Baylor 28 - Oklahoma 52
Shaky Start Turns in to a Rout for Oklahoma

In the first game under new leadership for Oklahoma, the Sooners were a little slow getting out of the gates going down 14-0 on a 4th and 1 turnover and Logan Joseph interception. Shortly after, KR Early King took the first of his three touchdowns back 107 yards to swing the momentum in the Sooners favor. The rest of the game remained heavily in Oklahoma's favor, thanks to the speed and vision of Early King. In the second half, the Sooners turned to Trevor Knight to run the offense, and the results were positive. A bomb to senior WR Trey Metoyer four and a half minutes in to the second half put Oklahoma in the drivers seat, and resulted in twenty one unanswered points (including King's third KR TD) to end the game for the Sooners. A rocky but impressive first showing for the new regime in Norman.

    Defense dominates in win
    34-3

The Badgers defense came to play and combines with Bart Houston the Badgers torched the Illini. Houston threw for 3 first half TDs as the Illinois defense was focused on stopping the run. Melvin Gordon still found enough running room to go off for 132 Yds on 16 attempts. Wisconsin's defense racked up 5 sacks and held the Illini to 136 total Yds.

Irish steamroll BC in battle for The Ireland Trophy. This was one of those games where everything Golson threw up was good (except for one dumb pick). In fact, he went 14 for 17 and 326 yards. BCs pass coverage broke down multiple times for big gains. They were also run over to the tune of 242 total rushing yards including 97 by true frosh RB Jason Evans.

The Irish rolled to a 62-14 finish with even the backups racking up yards and a pick 6 for Sr corner Tee Sheppard.
