    Week 12: Cards 35, Ravens 17

The playoff push starts now. The NFC West is the tightest division in the league and the Cards know they need to win every game to ensure they make the playoffs. With that in mind, Coach Bates had its team very prepared to duel with the Weblink21's Ravens.

On the first play of the game the Cards got a major injury scare. Rookie phenom Bjoern Mason took a plunge up the middle and sprained his wrist on the play. Fortunately, Bjoern is a tough SOB and returned after a few plays just in time to score a TD from 46 yards out.

By the end of the 1st quarter the score was 21-0 Cards, with the Cards defense playing lights out scoring a DEF TD and preventing the Ravens from getting 1st downs. Their other TD of the quarter came on a short pass to 3rd string TE Brad Cottam.

2nd quarter Ravens offense came to life and FB Leron Mcclain scored on a 2 yard run. In a misguided attempt to put the game out of reach in the 1st half, with less than 2 minutes to go and all his timeouts, Coach Bates encouraged his QB Lienart to put in another TD. In the span of less than 2 minutes, Lienart threw 2 INTs, 1 that was returned for a TD to make the score 28-14.

2nd half began with Ravens receiving and they held the ball for practically the entire 3rd quarter. The drive ended with a FG and the score was then 17-28.

In the 4th quarter the Cards would put the game away with a 21 yd TD pass to Kellen Winslow Jr.

Player(s) of the game goes to the Card's defense, which recorded 5 sacks, 3 INTS, 2 FF, and a DEF TD.
