Minneapolis, MN - Week 12 was a huge game for both NFC North foes Green Bay & Minnesota. Only 1 game separated the two at the top of the division, and Minnesota was looking to avenge an earlier season beat-down in Wisconsin. This would be a typical, hard-hitting NFC North affair and neither team would escape the game without major injuries to star players.

The game started just as their last meeting ended - after a 3 & out by Green Bay, rookie QB Teddy Bridgewater would make the first mistake throwing into coverage and being picked off by Julius Peppers. The Packers would capitalize quickly on a drag route by Jordy Nelson. The Vikings would drive into Green Bay territory on their next drive, but once again Teddy B would make a poor decision and CB Williams would jump a curl route for another INT. 3 plays later - Rodgers would hit Nelson again, this time on a 68-yd bomb for his 2nd TD pass of the game. 14-0 early in the 2nd quarter.

The Vikings would then finally put a solid drive together, one that spanned close to 7 minutes in the 2nd quarter and was topped off by AP's league-leading 16th TD run of the year. With just north of 2 minutes to play in the half, the Packers looked to tack on additional points before halftime. They would march into Minnesota territory but with 30 seconds left from the Viking 11 yard line, Rogers overthrew his WR in the end zone and it was picked off by FS Harrison Smith, taking the ball back 45 yards. The Vikings would get into FG range, but got hit with some lag on the kick and it fell short. Halftime Score: Vikings 7, Packers 14.

The Vikings would receive the 2nd half kick and march 80 yds in close to 7 minutes - but came up short and had to settle for 3 from inside the 5. Rodgers would then throw his 2nd INT of the game a few plays later (Munnerlyn) deep inside their own territory. On 2nd & 10 from the 17, AP would catch a ball out of the backfield and pick up the first down....but never got up! He was carried off the field on a stretcher, and the early diagnosis was a broken collarbone. A few plays later - backup HB Jerrick McKinnon would score from a few yards out. However, just 2 plays later with 6 seconds left in the quarter, Rodgers would hit Nelson AGAIN on an 80-yd bomb for 6!! Score after 3 - Vikings 17, Packers 24.

No AP, no problem - Bridgewater showed signs of maturity and captained an 80-yd, 6-minute drive capped off by a TD pass to HB McKinnon, putting the Vikings up 3 with just 3:30 to play. But as expected, the Packers would quickly drive into Minnesota territory again....but Rodgers would take off on a broken play and took a huge hit from rookie LB Anthony Barr...and like AP, didn't get up. It would be up to Matt Flynn to finish out the game. He looked poised getting the Packers into the red zone, but on 1st & 10 from the Vikings 13, already in FG range, Flynn would be picked off by CB Josh Robinson to seal the W for Minnesota.

    Game Casualties:
AP - out for 8 weeks
Aaron Rodgers - out for 4 weeks
