The Vikings get their second win in a row this time coming against an NFC North divisional foe, the Detroit Lions led by Coach Redwings. The Vikings would take a 10-0 lead into the half and pull out the win late. Jahvid Best fumbled giving the Vikings excellent field position inside the Lions 30. A nice drive was capped off by a 4 yard burst into the end zone by the player of the game, Adrian Peterson who finished with 115 yards on 27 carries. Christian Ponder played his second consecutive game without any mistakes and looked brilliant at times. He has missed just 5 passes in the last two games. Pretty impressive for the way he had been playing. Chad Greenway had to step up in the absence of defensive leader, E.J. Henderson. Jasper Brinkley took over for the injured Henderson and did an alright job with 5 tackles.
