Skins are almost able to squeak one out against the Niners thanks to 3 kick-off return TD's, but Frisco able to fight back.

The Niners started off with the ball and drove right down the field, with rookie RB Woods putting it in for 6 from 3yds out. Washington answered with the first of three return TDs, and SF responded with a FG. Following the FG, the Skins put in the second return TD. With a few minutes left in the 2nd, QB Smith ran it in from two yards out after another long drive by a very tired SF offense.

To start the 3rd, Washington returned their third kick-off for 6. Besides the returns, the Redskins could never get going on offense, allowing SF to put up two FG's in the 3rd, and a 4yd TD run by RB Gore to start the 4th. With about 5 mins left, Washington drove down the field quickly through the air, getting across the goal line on a 3yd TD pass to TE Cooley. QB Alex Smith however was able to drive Frisco down the field with some clutch passing, where Gore was able to run the clock out and put SF in position to end the game on a last second FG, which they did. Final score 31-28 Niners.
