Cowboys kept thier post season hopes alive with a win over the Saints in week 12. The game featured two teams that have been absolutely decimated by injuries in a battle that both teams really needed but without the win Dallas would hav fallen to 4-7, not an easy place to return from.

The game started out slow as neither team could get anything going with Dallas coming away with the only points of the 1st qtr with a FG. The second quater began with similar style as Dallas again failed to get the ball into the endzone, setteling for a FG. Dallas's defense was superb in the first half, shutting down the Saints and not allowing an offensive TD, making plays all over the field. After a beautiful 33 yard TD pass to Crayton, putting the Cowboys up by 13, the defense would again force the Saints to punt, giving the Cowboys the ball back. Looking to take a commading lead Romo would instead force a pass that would be turned into a pick 6 by Porter giving the Saints thier lone score of the half and new life. After a nice defensive stand it seemed that the Saints where making a surge when Scandrick caused a huge fumble on a punt, which Tillman picked up and ran into the endzone making it 20-7 at halftime. The second half was more of the same as the Dallas defense constantly harrased Curtis Painter and caused two more turnovers. Dallas would score 10 more and the Saints 3 in the second half.
