    Colorado 47
    Oregon St 14

Colorado keeps their PAC 12 Championship game hopes alive by blowing out Oregon St. in Boulder 47-14 in a completely one sided game. Colorado started off with the ball first and quickly moved down the field throwing a pass to the 1 yard line, then QB sneaking it in. Oregon St. was picked off and Colorado would score again, this time in the air with a pass to Freshman standout Mike Gutierrez. Colorado would get the ball back and be forced to kick a field goal. After that though, Colorado would then get a pick 6 to force the score 24-0 in the 1st quarter. Oregon St. was noticeably frustrated because the Buffaloes had made it clear that they would have no success in the air on the day and Oregon St. would switch to the run on their next possession and finally find something that worked. They rushed the ball most of the drive and finally punched it in from 5 yards out to cut the lead down 24-8. Colorado would add a touchdown, and then from the 2 yard line, with a 31-7 lead, they decided to take a field goal instead of trying to add a TD to the big lead, and took the game into the half up 34-7. With the game well in hand, Colorado went to a conservative look for the 2nd half, and added a field goal first, then back up running back Drew Scott would take it 51 yards for a touchdown and a 44-8 lead. The Beavers would then run the clock every play and it would put the Colorado defense asleep and allow Oregon St. to throw a deep pass inside the 5 yard line where they'd punch it in for a 44-14 game. They would not recover the onside and Colorado would add a FG, and then picking Oregon St. off to end the game with a 47-14 win. Oregon St's QB Ryan Smith would end the day 7/22 with 6 interceptions and 0 tds. Jim McMahan on the other side would go 13-16 for 217 yards and a touchdown. Mike Gutierrez would continue his success with 6 receptions for 117 yards and a touchdown. Gutierrez has easily been one of the best receivers this season, and arguably the best Freshman this entire season.
