    Week 12

Just when the Gators were riding on top of the world after being voted back to #1 in the polls, disaster strikes.

The Gators knocked off visiting Miss St 28-3 but lost their star QB John Brantley for the season. He fell awkwardly after being sacked in the 2nd quarter and has a torn rotator cuff is the early reports.

That means the Gators backfield is down to it's 2nd string now with Demps and Brantley both out for the season. The Gators had relied heavily on Brantley's arm and the WR corp to win games. Now the Gators will have to reevaluate their attack with redshirt freshman Jordan Reed going under center the rest of the way. Reed really isn't developed enough in either the passing game or the running game so the Gators may have to rely on their defense to win some ball games now.

#10 UNC Tops an Absolutely Horrible Baylor Team, 56-0

Carolina pitched their 2nd shutout (5th game giving up 10 or fewer points) while also scoring a team high 56 points while under coach Jello. The Heels amassed a ridiculous 600 yards of total offense as they rushed for 316 while passing for 284 (both season highs). Baylor's offense sputtered the entire game. While UNC converted on 9 of 10 3rd down conversions, the Bears only managed to convert 1 of 8 and 1 of 4 4th down conversions.

It appears as if the Heels are upset about not getting to play in the ACCCG and about their perceived lack of respect in the polls and they took out their frustrations on the poor teddy bears.
