Ladies and gentlemen, your CUSA Scholar Division champions = The UNLV Runnin Rebs. Just finished the game vs Blonde... won 35-26 in a game where nothing went Blonde's way. I feel fortunate to have the win when I played so horribly. I'll write a recap soon... until then my whole team is doing this dance....

UNLV Makes it 6 in a row while taking home the division championship.
    UNLV - 35
    SJSU - 26

    Total Offense
    UNLV - 346 (rushing - 105, passing - 241)
    SJSU - 451 (rushing - 43, passing - 408)

    Turnovers
    UNLV - 0
    SJSU - 4(4 INTs)

    Players of the game:
    UNLV - QB C. Herring 6-12 241 yards, 4 TDs, 24 yards rushing
    SJSU - RB B. Rutley 15 carries 73 yards 3 receptions 52 yards receiving

The game started out great for the runnin rebels as they drove down the field on the opening drive that concluded with a 14 yard td pass. My option offense was working great during the first drive, however Blonde then decided to come out in 4-4 every play and take away the rushing aspect of my offense. This caused a lot of frustration on my end as I couldnt get anything going on the ground. I finally decided to make a stand and start challenging his one on one coverage and it paid dividends. My QB lit up the SJSU secondary with 4 TDs. We went into the fourth at 21-20 with my rebs holding a slight advantage, but then my defense took over and I outscored Blonde 14-6 in the deciding period to take home the win. I never could gain alot of yardage in this game as Blonde defended me perfectly, but I made huge plays when it counted and DID NOT turn the ball over. Turnovers really ended up being the key to this game as BLonde outgained me in total offense by 100 yards but made 4 costly mistakes that ended drives early(one of which my freshman CB took back to the house - his 3rd TD in 2 weeks).

GG Blonde... recruit some skill position players on offense who can catch and a guy who can actually make some throws and your offense is going to be tough to stop.

    Bring on the gentleman division.

UNLV moves to 7-5(7-2) and is the Scholar division champion.
Up Next: UNLV faces the curly headed fucks from the gentleman division.

    Akron(6-5) 40
    Mid Tenn State(6-5) 24

3 Key To Victory for Akron
    1. Steamer was driving in the 2nd quarter with the score 10-7 Akron when he tried to hit a short stop to a slot WR which I user picked with the LB and took it back 77 yards for a TD.
    2. Keith Sconiers came up big with 42 and 66 yard TD receptions which both were pretty much toss ups and he just out negroed Steamers defender.
    3. Balance, one of the few games where I could run the ball effectively with 26 carries for 151 yards to go along with 23 completions on 31 attempts for 395 yards.

3 Keys to Defeat for MTSU
    1. Losing the TO battle 4-1 hurt as there were chances in the 2nd half that always seemed to end with a pick.
    2. Defense. He allowed my piss poor offense to run and throw at will and even convert 7-11 3rd downs and 546 yards of total offense.
    3. The pass rush was non existent with 0 sacks against an O-Line that goes 60, 67, 60, 58, 66. Allowed my QB to pick apart his offense.

As New Mexico traveled to play Fort Lauderdale to take on FAU, they once again forgot take along their passing game.

Despite several early turnovers, the New Mexico defense held FAU to 3 field goal attempts after 3 interceptions. The Owl converted two of those for a 6-0 lead heading into the half.

In the 2nd half, New Mexico finally got their offense off the ground as back up Quarterback B.R. Holbrook hit Ty Kirk for a 61 yard touchdown late in the 3rd quarter. But FAU would respond with a touchdown drive of their own heading into the 4th, up 13-7. New Mexico would respond with a field goal cutting it to 3. Then RB James right busted off a 19 yard touchdown run to go up 17-13. After an interception, the Lobos would go up 20-13 late and hold on for victory.

The Lobos racked up 9 sacks on defense and only 7 first downs on offense.

Strange game with Crumb. The game started and my team couldn't block, tackle, or throw. And Crumb was making me look silly with big play after big play. I guess I got a bit cocky seeing our records, and was quickly humbled as Crumb's Panthers took a 24-0 lead midway through the second quarter. With 3 minutes until half and fearing I was just going to get boat-raced, I went to a little bit of no huddle and was able to get a quick score. Finally stopped The Panthers' running attack, and scored again with 0:15 in the half. I was finally able to take a breath at halftime, having narrowed a scary-looking 0-24 deficit to a manageable 14-24 margin. In the second half, it was like our teams switched uniforms. All of a sudden FIU stopped blocking, and I began gashing the Panther D for big gains on the ground and through the air. I ended up rolling off 38 unanswered, making the final score 38-24, good guys. This sets up a big game with Akron next week. Win and Memphis represents the Gentlemen in the championship game. Lose and the rights go to the Kent State Golden Flashes.

    Who beat who bitch?

And I completely agree that your non-conference games are gay. Taking a 1 star and having negative rushing yards while throwing deep to the tune of 600 yards on Ohio State at the Shoe? Gayest thing I've thought about all day, and I've been watching a lot of Queen/Freddie Mercury stuff today, it being his birthday and all.
