It was a beautiful day in Lafayette as the Ragin' Cajuns took the field against the hated Warhawks. Recruits were in the stands looking quite thrilled as ULL started the game well forcing a fumble on the opening drive and taking it down for the TD. The following ULM drive though tied it up at 7 a piece. Start of the second quarter saw the Cajun's take the lead to 14-7 and they would never look back. ULM managed a FG on the ensuing drive after a goalline stand by the Cajun D. ULL went into the lockerrom with a comfortable 21-10 lead after a good jump ball catch from WR John Anderson with 5 seconds to go. The third qtr saw both teams trading TD's culminating in a 72 yd TD pass to FB Charles Singletary as he broke two would be tacklers on the way to the endzone. The 4th qtr was about putting the game away for the Cajuns and they did just that scoring 14 points to the Warhawks 7 after AJS got disconnected to start the quarter. Good Game AJS!
I also had a flea flicker that worked for a good amt of yards. saved the video if anyone is interested

Utah State beats rival Wyoming 38-7

Played like shit but Wyo is so bad it didn't matter. Scored my first 2 TDs off pick-6's. Only gained 332 yards of offense and went 2-13 on 3rd downs but the Pokes turned it over 6 times. Player of the game goes freshman CB Clarke Horne for his 8 tackles, 2 FF, and Interception returned 44 yards for a TD

Just waiting on Crumb/Hammer game and ASU/MTSU CPU games.

    Three in a row!

    WKU-56
    Kent-49

Had to overcome shady refs and the most ridiculous blind luck I've ever seen. He had the ball on my 10 yard line, in the fourth, down 13. He proceeded to throw the 3rd of his redzone INTs to a WKU defender in a hook zone while I was in a hook zone nearby. My DB caught it and, since I was strafing with another player by holding down LT, the DB immediately lateraled it to a Kent receiver. The camera didn't even change. touchdown Qwon. I tried to take 20 seconds and save a highlight but got locked out. The play counted for one of Qwon's 5 pics and 1 of my 2 fumbles.

Most of Qwon's pics came from focusing on Gerald Johnson. I was doubling him when I could but he still caught 7 for 200 yards (83 long) and 2 scores. What will Qwon do after this guy graduates?

WKU SR Rashad Pettit ran 17 times for 210 yards and 4 TDs and goalline back Corey Douglas added 2 rushing TDs of his own. The WKU backfield averaged over 8 yards a carry on the day. Pettit also caught 4 for 40 and a rec TD.

I let the clock run out while I was on his 2 yard line. I should have ran it in to tack on an extra score but he was already complaining I didn't turn chew clock on for the final 20 seconds and I didn't want to hear him gripe.

    MTSU 42
    Troy 13

MTSU dominated in this rivalry game where it had 4 prospects visiting. Sam Tanner had 144 yards and 3 TDS, Ray Fisher had 2 TD receptions and the MTSU defense played lights out. MTSU finishes the regular season at 8-4(5-3) and on a 5 game winning streak going into the bowl game.

The Turning Point: Western Kentucky forced a Western Michigan TO to start the 2nd half but settled for a FG after a holding penalty. From this point Western Michigan put up 21 unanswered in a sequence that saw Western Kentucky throw an interception and go 3 and out while Western Kentucky turned a 24-27 deficit into a 45-27 lead in the 4th.

Key To The Game: The big play was key in this one. At the half Western Michigan had two first downs yet the score was tied 24 all. The Broncos only totaled 7 first downs to Western Kentucky's 19 but were able to score on plays of 59, 59, 78, 82 and 79.

Looking Ahead: 3 Weeks of rest before the Conference Championship game against the feeble west.

    Big Hits in Season Finale
    [IMG]
Big hits all around as Army pounded the ball on the ground all game but Crumb's EMU defense made them pay the toll to earn their yards. At one point EMU's D had knocked 3 Army RB's out of the game, the most significant injury coming to Sr HB Larry Clark who is out for the remainder of the season. Stephen Petty picked up the slack carrying the ball 22 for 203 yds and 3 TD to keep the injury ridden Army rushing attack afloat. Army only attempted 7 passes on the day as QB Derrick Gates went 6-7 for 104 yds and 1TD.
The play of the game came on the heels of big back Stephen Petty who did more than his share as a 3rd string RB today.
Army finishes the regular season at 9-3 with a 5-3 mark in conference play and is thrown into a 4 way tie in the East division which I'm not sure how it will be sorted out.
