More of the same came from Kansas and QB Mike Cummings who has been spot on the last 2 weeks. Kansas led 45-7 at the break, and at that time, Cummings had already passed for 333 yards and 5 TD passes. Kansas didn't really get the running game going at all until the 4th quarter, but their defense and passing has been enough. Cummings finished the day with 6 TD passes and no picks.

Mike Cummings (QB)- 17-26 for 385 yards, 6 TD
Darrian Miller (HB)- 20 carries for 124 yards, TD
Marquis Jackson (WR)- 4 receptions for 125 yards, 2 TD
Jimmy Washington (WR)- 2 receptions for 88 yards, TD
Jimmy Mundine (TE)- 3 receptions for 57 yards, 2 TD

    #9 TCU 10 - Texas 13 (2OT)

TCU fails to score an offensive touchdown, the only 6 pointer coming on a pick 6 early in the 1st quarter. TCU receivers account for 7 drops, including a should-have-been easy TD on a fly pattern where the Texas cheerleaders were closer to the receiver than the Texas secondary. The TCU offensive line couldn't have blocked a tackling dummy, let alone the Longhorn's players. Their private Christian education must not have taught them how to play against Texas' state funded 1-5-5 defense.

Oh yeah. Texas doesn't score a point until 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter down 10-0, when it gets a TD after 2 separate TCU defenders had the ball in their hands, it bounces around between them and mysteriously hovers in the air long enough for the Texas receiver to catch it and run behind them. TCU predictably goes 3 and out and hands the ball back to Texas on the 50. Texas doesn't convert a 3rd down until that drive with 2 minutes left in the quarter. Texas misses a FG on their first possession in overtime. TCU manages to carry the ball to the 12 yard line, and mysteriously shanks a 30 yard FG to send the game to a second overtime. TCU has a -2 yard carry, -8 yard sack, -8 yard sack, incomplete pass. Texas kicks a FG and wins.

The two teams combine for 377 yards of offense, 59 rushing yards, and 6 of 28 on 3rd downs and 15 punts. Texas has the ball for only 14:28 compared to TCU's 25:08. The TCU coach could not be reached for comment.

TCU must now beat Texas Tech at home next week to win the division.

Dawgs win SEC EAST after beating the Wildcats 41-14!

In week 13 the Bulldogs won the SEC EAST title by beating Kentucky 41-14 and are headed to the SEC Championship. This is the most impressive Georgia team since the 1980-1983 Bulldogs. HB Isaiah Crowell rushed for 150 yards and 1 touchdown on 25 carries. QB Christian Lemay completed 11 out of 21 passes for 258 yards and 3 touchdowns. The player of the game was Senior WR Malcolm Mitchell, he caught 7 passes for 193 yards and 2 touchdowns. The defense played ok but could have been better. We allowed 231 yards of total offense but its not horrible. Next week we play Georgia Tech at home and that will be our last regular season game.

Mizzou is furious after a 40-35 loss to the Gators. Missouri's defense was able to put up a total of 21 points all in the first half, and to lead at halftime 28-3. But after halftime everything went down hill including Missouri's starting QB getting injured for the rest of the season and the Mizzou defense giving up 37 second half points to their 7. This loss will sting the Tigers for years to come. Missouri takes on #8 Kansas next week.

Oklahoma wins this shootout in snowy Morgantown. The Sooners struggled to get it going until the fourth, where 17 points in the final 3:07 led them to victory. Because they trailed for most of the game, QB Blake Bell ended up throwing it 50 times for 341 yards and 3 TD. HB Brandon Williams went down early, and continued his run of sub 100 yard games. Three turnovers and only 84 rushing yards almost doomed the Sooners, but they pulled it out in the end to still keep their Big 12 title hopes a possibility.

    Miami 24

Miami gets the big win at home against Clemson after a pretty dominant defensive performance. They did an excellent job of limiting Clemson offensively and grabbed 4 Ints on the day. Offensively Miami had some nice drives early, including a 13 or 14 play drive to open the game. No real player stood out offensively, but the Wideouts had a nice day catching a ton of balls, but had some trouble turning them into touchdowns.
