    New Mexico 13
    TCU 10

In a defensive battle both teams struggled to possess the ball. UNM threw 2 INT's and TCU tossed 4. TCU had a chance late in the 4th with 3 minutes but the QB threw a duck right to my safety Espinosa. TCU was bothered by the New Mexico pass rush all game but did have a few successful scrambles. New Mexico is now bowl eligible at 6-4 and has 2 OOC cupcakes coming up.

    BATTLE FOR THE GOLDEN BOOT

This game had all the hype any rivalry could dream of, and the buzz for the game had begun as soon as the schedules were released for the collegiate football year. #2 Colorado State came in with National Title hopes on the line. The Rams were determined to prevent an upset against their hated rival Wyoming on the road, especially when they had the chance to ruin the perfect season. Wyoming had a lot to play for as well, having to win to keep BCS and conference title hopes alive.

The game was very high-scoring, which was expected. A field goal and a 3 and out were the difference in the half as CSU went into the break up 28-17. The Cowboys would come out firing to slice the CSU lead to 4 with the game at 24-28 Rams advantage. The Rams would answer with a touchdown, and the defense finally woke up and forced a punt. The Rams backup freshman RB broke a run to the outside for six. Then Wyoming would get picked off the ensuing drive and wouldn't score another point. The Rams won 49-24 in impressive fashion, giving them the conference crown for back to back years for the first time ever, and giving them a great shot at a National Title bid.

Now all CSU and Coach IrishBearcat can do is wait and hope the polls are good to him and his squad by rewarding them with a NC bid as reward for their undefeated season.
