The Packers faced the Vikings to close out the third quarter of this season. A win seals the division, a loss gives the Lions a glimmer of hope.

All week long the Packers focused on creating turnovers. Turnovers has been the key to their season thus far. Limiting theirs and taking away their points to a tune of a +28 differential. Only the Broncos have a better differential at +30. The Packers were listening to a certain song all week in practice. They changed a few lyrics but it definitely stuck in their head.

First quarter started slowly as the Packers were just feeling out their opponent. Having never faced Eazy E, I was just seeing if I could pick up a few tendencies. On the Vikings first series they drove down the field rather easily until the D stiffens and forces a Walsh 43 yard field goal. Green Bay would open up their offense and Rodgers throws a perfect pass over the shoulder of Greg Jennings for a beautiful catch and run 45 yard touchdown. 7-3 at the end of the first.

The Vikings kept fighting back. Another long sustained drive that stalled at the 12 yard line. Walsh connects from 29. 7-6. The Packers were hoping to score on their next series but couldn't get anything going and were forced to punt. With under 2 minutes to go the Vikings were starting a long 2 minute drill drive. Adrian Peterson took a handoff but was greeted by rookie linebacker Nick Perry and fumbled the ball. Desmond Bishop scooped up the ball and took it 11 yards for the score. 14-6. The Vikings would attempt another drive. This time Sam Shields jumped a route and intercepted a Ponder pass. Rodgers finds DJ Williams for a 10 yard score to take the wind out of the Vikings said. 21-6.

The third quarter and the rest of the game for that matter was the same as the final 2 minutes of the first half. Sam Shields jumped another Ponder pass and took it 26 yards for the score.

In the 4th Brandon Saine, who has emerged in the second half of the season, took a handoff 20 yards to finish the scoring.

    Green Bay 35 v. Minnesota 6

    GG Eazy E

    Rodgers 12-16, 181 yards, 2 td's

    Sam Shields, 3 interceptions

    Christian Ponder, 13-31, 193, 5 interceptions.
