Panthers improve to 3-0 against the NFC West
    Charlotte, NC- Pepper Hicks Reporting
The Panthers went into Qwest field looking for their 9th win of the season, as they strive for that first round playoff bye. Getting the ball first to start the game, the Panthers relied heavily on stud RB DeAngelo Williams, but as the Panthers moved into Seahawks territory Matt Moore would throw a pass that went 10 yards away from the intended target. Seahawks make the Int and start their first offensive drive. Panthers D get the ball back and this time the offense moves down the field and punches it in the endzone. Via a pass from Matt Moore to FB Tony Fiammetta. After a Snead Int by Gamble Panthers strike again, this time Matt Moore found Steve Smith crossing the middle and he turned on the jets all the way to a 81 yard TD.
Up 14 to 0, Panthers D showed signs of missing Jon Beason. Forsett made a big run setting up a Snead to Tate 6 yard TD pass and catch. Seahawks D stepped up and forced the Panthers to punt on their next drive. As the first half expired Seahawks added a 54 yard FG making the score 14 to 10.
With the rain still coming down hard both offenses struggled to get anything going in the 2nd half. Panthers extending their lead 3 minutes into the 3rd Quarter with FB Tony Fiammetta getting his 2nd TD of the game, this time on the ground. Heading in to the 4th Panthers led 21 to 10 and was looking to easily pick up their 9th win, until Tate took a punt 80 yards untouched to the house with 4 1/2 minutes left to play. The Seahawks failed to convert 2 needed to stop the Panthers but DeAngelo and Goodson were up to the task. Panthers kept pounding the ball and picked up enough first downs, to run the rest of the clock out. Panthers hang on to win 21 to 16.
Panthers improve to 9-3 and 3-0 in the NFC West. With another Saints loss and the Buccs beating the Falcons, the Panthers need just 1 more win to clinch their division. Next week the Panthers return home to host the Falcons, who they will play again in Atlanta in Week 17. Panthers currently are the best team in the NFC and with 2 games left against the Falcons, 1 game against the Cardinals and Steelers, Panthers hope to grab a bye week in their first playoff appearance in the OMFL.
    Stats from the Game:
    DeAngleo Williams 22atts 134yards
    Steve Smith 4recs 1TD 132yards
    Matt Moore 11/18 1int 2TDs 175yards
