The Carolina Panthers jumped out to an early lead against the visiting New York Giants and never looked back in a 49-7 blowout. Panthers quarterback Cam Newton continues to come out of his early season funk, as he accounted for 4 touchdowns in the game (2 on the ground and 2 through the air). The Carolina defense delivered another lights out performance as they recorded 4 sacks and forced 5 turnovers on the day, and added a touchdown of their own on a Chris Gamble pick 6. The game nearly ended with a shutout, until the Giants capitalized on a late Panthers turnover and scored in the final minute of the game.

The Panthers improve to 11-1 on the season and will travel to Tampa Bay to take on the rival Buccaneers in week 14.

The Giants fall to 8-4 on the season, but with the Eagles losing to the Colts the two remain tied atop the NFC East. The Giants will host the rival Dallas Cowboys in week 14.
