    Niners Win in OT
    defeat Rams 21-14

The new look Niners came away with a hard-fought victory over rival St Louis Rams. After stopping the Rams on their opening possession of the extra period, the 49ers used timely passes to get down the field before Frank Gore clinched the victory with his third TD of the game.

The Niners took advantage of a St Louis fumble on the opening kickoff to take a 7-0 lead, but would be unable to muster any sustained offense for the rest of the game. Instead, the Rams controlled the majority of the action during regulation, but only managed 14 points as they were undone by turnovers and missed opportunities.

recchem2000, Good game. The fumble on the kickoff and the dropped pass were huge, specially the dropped pass I think. I didn't really do much on offense in the 2nd/3rd quarters.
