The #18 Penn State Nittany Lions defeated the Michigan State Spartans today for the Land Grant Trophy, 45-15. All-American Evan Royster was the star of the game in this one, rumbling for over 250 yards and 4 rushing scores. Royster had 4 rushes of over 20 yards, including a 56 yard and 62 yard scoring romps. QB Kevin Newsome was steady, completing 65% of his passes and tossing a TD while throwing no Ints. On the Defensive side, Senior Navorro Bowman was absolutely dominating today, getting 11 tackles, 10 TFL and a new NCAA record 8 Sacks! He could not be contained all day, running sidelineto sideline. Coach 9's was very happy with his squads performance on the road in this rivalry game.

Ohio State claimed the Big Ten title with a 27-7 pummeling of rival Michigan in the Big House. The nation’s top ranked defense allowed the Wolverines just 114 total yards and dominated start to finish. Tate Forcier and the UM running game were pushed backwards into negative 28 yards on the ground. Brandon Saine led the Buck running game with 117 yards and two scores. Ohio State (9-2) finishes the regular season undefeated in the Big Ten and awaits their Rose Bowl opponent, likely Oregon State.
