    Bowl Bound!
Ruston is ecstatic as the Bulldogs are going bowling!

The LTU Bulldogs will be in a bowl game for the first time in a long time. Both teams were sluggish early on, but mid way through the first quarter the Bulldogs struck first. This time it was the defense who put the points on the board. On a a first and ten run by the Spartans RB, the ball squirted out and DT Phillip Longino scooped the rock and took it to the house to put the Bulldogs up 7-0. From this point it became a bit of a route. The superstar WR Cruz Williams would find the endzone three times, and would end his regular season with over 1500 yards receiving. By halftime the score was all Bulldog at 34-11.

Going into a slower pace and slower gear allowed the Spartans to come back and make it a game. With little time left in the game, and it being 34-31, LTU was a bit nervous. But after the Spartans scored a TD, WR Carey Fortson returned the ensuing kickoff 92 yards to put LTU up for good 41-31.

    Finally a bowl!

Rice Escapes the Clutches of Cross Town Rival Houston!

It took 2 extra quarters to beat Houston but the Rice Owls and coach T2Express managed to keep their unbeaten streak vs rivals as Rice beats Houston 35-28 in 2OT

The Owls jumped out early behind Charles Ross and Sam McGuffie. taking the early 14-3 lead. And then came the Cougars slowly stiffeling the Owl offense and starting to gain the momentum. Houston would come roaring back and took the lead 21-14 after a 2pt conversion. Houston would Taylor Cook benched, Taylor McHarvge, would lead the owls down the field and with 2 seconds left, 4th and goal on the 6, McHarvge would drop back and connect to the Flats to send it go OT. Houston won the toss and chose defense, which held strong as Rice elected to go for it on 4th down. The Owl defense would also play lights out putting Houston in a spot to win with a 44 yard FG, but the kick was short. Rice would again try to win the game. On 4th down rice punched it in from 1 yard out taking the 35-28 lead. The next 3 plays for houston would all be sacks as the Owls turned up the head and dominated the line of scrimmage. on 4th and 44 houston threw to the flat and rice managed to make the tackle short of the 1st down line.

Rice looks to win its first OOC game since last season as they take on the Aztecs.
