It shows that deaf, snoopy, legacy, tech, and Maggie aren't ready to advance. If that is incorrect and u guys already recruited then make sure to hit 'ready to advance'. Otherwise we may be needlessly waiting on you.

That's right, and to be honest with you I'm fine with you doing that for me each year. I should be able to get that last game done right when I get home from my day of teaching.

As for this year's EMU-CMU game..

Eagles Conclude Year 2-10 With 3 OT Win over Central Michigan:

Many people across the country have known about the success that Central Michigan University has had of recent. Under the leadership of Dan Lefeavor, the Chippewas have of recent been the class of the Mid-American Conference. However, what most don't realize is that in the last 6 years while CMU has been that great, EMU is 4-2 against those Chippewas.

Last year's game was the exception to the rule for this particular series since 2004 with the Chippewas destroying EMU in Mount Pleasant 56-8. However, the 5 years prior:

    2008 - EMU 56, CMU 52
    2007 - EMU 48, CMU 45 (@CMU)
    2006 - CMU 24, EMU 17 (OT) - EMU missed a 4th and 3 by one yard in OT
    2005 - EMU 23, CMU 20 (@CMU)
2004 - EMU 61, CMU 58(4 OT) (@Ford Field in Detroit) (Easily the best football game I've ever been to live in my life. So much so that when I ran my College Football pool on a blog, I wrote a lengthy blog about it: http://www.blurty.com/talkread.bml?journal=mccpools&itemid=8803)

Flash forward to our fictional world. In a game that seems to have appropriately fit the EMU home games in this series, the Eagles pulled off a remarkable victory 23-20 over the Chippewas in 3 OT on Dewayne Priest's 11 yard touchdown pass.

This was a strange contest for four quarters. This game was literally 3-3 at the end of the fourth. The Eagles got a field goal in the second quarter and CMU got one in the 3rd. Things looked very grim for the Eagles with about 4:00 left in the fourth quarter with CMU at the 10 yard line of EMU's looking at kicking the winning FG. Bounces off the goal post to my shock.

In overtime, both offenses decided to play football. Just like in that 2004 game at Ford Field, it was the first time all year that I honestly felt that my EMU team could actually do what it needed to do to win a game. CMU in the first two OT's scored easily. In the first overtime, the Eagles scored on a 8 yard run from Senior Running Back Priest. The Eagles touchdown in the second overtime came on a QB Payne scramble. I've never seen so much open field in my life as Payne ran to tie the game.

The defense stiffened for EMU and in the third OT, Payne threw a perfect pass to win the contest(see the Dynasty Wire if interested).

The game earned a 1025 Instant Classic score.

And so ends the Hard4Yards Regular Season story for 2010.... EMU ends the season 2-10 with 2 victories at home. I'm as shocked as anyone.

Nice Crumb. Congrats. But I've got to one-up you on the best game I've ever been to. I was at the Fiesta Bowl to watch Boise State knock off my Sooners 43-42 in overtime. Widely considered to be one of the greatest games ever.

That game definitely had a lot more meaning on a national level and admittedly that's probably the best game I've ever watched on Television, just due to the number of crazy plays that happened in that contest. To be honest with you though, that EMU-CMU game had its share of craziness too (blocked extra point for a safety; something that my grandfather and I had been debating about for weeks. He thought you got a TD for running that back, which I knew wasn't right.. so to have it happen live was too precious. Ironically I saw it again at an EMU-Michigan game live, lol.)

That EMU-CMU game though was so memorable just from the bus ride, to the fact that I had the opportunity to take my grandfather a huge sports fan to it, to the fact that it meant that EMU had become the first "Michigan-MAC Champs."

As for the Fiesta Bowl game, I guess it was awesome and awful that you got an opportunity to attend that. Pretty cool stuff. I'm personally waiting for EMU to get to a bowl game or back into the NCAA Tournament before I make my plunge to hit a bowl game. (I might be waiting a while, so thus I save $).

I'm ready to advance, Dylan. I've decided to just wait till next year with recruiting as it's pretty much a total loss right now. Once the calendar flips over, I'll be far more hands on with this team, as taking over at week 9 or 10(?) when my season was shot wasn't too much fun.

For the record, a blocked extra point return counts as a 2-point conversion for the other team. That's probably what you meant though.

I didn't go to the Boise Fiesta Bowl but I did go to the WVU Fiesta. Wish I hadn't. When I lived in Denver, I went to CU in Boulder and we lost that one. Went to Bedlam in Norman in 2001 or 02 when they beat us that first time. When I was living in NM, I almost went to the TT game in Lubbock the year the refs fucked us. I was extremely close to going to OU BYU. I haven't seen OU win in person in years.

I don't go to games anymore.

Yeah, exactly. He thought that if the other team blocked an extra point and then took it and returned it all the way back that the team that blocked the extra point would gain a touchdown for it, instead of the 2-point conversion which I knew was the case.

Whn the refs fucked you? You mean when OU was helpless against the Air Raid?

I was at the Tech UT game when Crabtree caught that TD with just a second left.n that was the best game I've ever been to. From going to College Gameday and then tailgating all day and then the euphoria afterwards...just awesome. The OU wins the last three home games have been pretty fun. Beating Nebraska 70-10 in Callahan's first year was fantastic as well. Went to the Holiday Bowl when we shellacked #4 Cal who was whining a out not getting a better bowl. And I was there for the biggest bowl game comeback in history when we came back from beng down 38-7 halfway through the 3rd quarter to beat Glenn Mason's Minnesota team in the Insight Bowl. I'll never forget that one.

As an aside, I'm bad luck for Sam Bradford. I've seen him play twice. The first when he got knocked the fuck out in Lubbock, and then the BYU game here in Dallas.
