The Texans jumped all over the Jags to start the game, marching down the field on their opening possession and scoring on a 3 yard Walter Stephens run. The Texans defense forced a turnover on the next Jags possession, as Jadaveon Clowney picked off Blake Bortles. The Texans moved right down the short field and QB Mat Murphy ran it in from 4 yards out, shaking off OLB Geno Hayes in the process. The Jags cut the lead to 14-3 on a short field goal and the Texans added their own field goal before half and FS Kendrick Lewis stopped a Jacksonville scoring threat before half with an interception. 17-3 at half. Houston came out and marched down the field, looking to put the game away. After an impressive 4+ minute drive, Murphy forced the ball into the end zone and the Jags picked it for a touchdown. This 10 point swing was almost enough for Jacksonville, but the Texans showed a lot of resolve, protecting their slim lead. Houston responded with a field goal. Jacksonville put together a nice drive of their own and capped it off with an Alfred Morris touchdown run. The Texans never gave the ball back, running off the final 6 minutes of the game.

Good game Alex. That was a huge win, keeps my division hopes alive. Good luck the rest of the year
