The Packers knew that they had to stop Calvin Johnson in order to win. The consistently had safety help over the top the entire game but it wouldn't be necessary as Tramon Williams was able to defend him without the help. Tramon picked off 3 Stafford passes. In the end it was just enough as the score is not indicative of the game. The Lions jump off to the early with Scheffler 3 yard scoring pass. The Packers go three and out and are forced to punt. Reggie Bush fumbles and the Packers recover. Immediately Rodgers finds Jennings for a 22 yard score. 7-7. The very next Bush run results in another fumble, both forced by CM3. However the Packers only can manage 2 FG's for a 13-7 advantage. With 20 seconds left in the half, Jermichael Finley scores from 2 yards to put the Pack up 20-7 going into the half or they thought. Somehow the Lions move the ball down the field in 20 seconds and kick a 45 yard fg. Momentum was now on the Lions side as they unleashed a pass rush this Packer team hasn't seen all season. The Packers offense was in shambles as the Lions mounted a comeback. Kevin Smith scores from 3 to pull the Lions within 3. The Packers settled down and their defense picked up their game as well. Greg Jennings hauls in a 10 yard pass and does the rest and turns it into a 47 yard pass. The Lions wouldn't die. They drive down the field late in the 4th quarter. With just over 3 minutes left, the Packers d stiffens and forces a FG attempt. The FG was no good (I swear the FG at the half was short and this one look good, but what do I know). The Packers try and run out the clock but the Lions stuffed the run. Facing a 3rd and 2, the Packers knew the Lions would sell out the run and Rodgers hits Finley over the top for a game clinching 46 yard touchdown. The Packers defense would force 9 turnovers. Should have taking more advantage of those but the Lions defense came to play. GG WilsT24 Rodgers 17-24, 278 yards, 4 tds, 1 int Jennings 6 for 121, 2 tds Stafford 14-25, 215, 1 td, 6 int Calvin Johnson 3 for 68.
