Coming into week 14, the Carolina Panthers needed just one more victory to secure their 2nd straight NFC South Championship (played seasons). The rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers had no intentions of making it easy on Carolina, and took it to the Panthers top ranked defense.

Bucs quarterback Josh Freeman played an excellent game, passing for over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns. Unfortunately for Freeman the Buccaneers offense, the Panthers scored in all three phases of the game in the 1st quarter, to build a lead they would never relinquish.

The Panthers were dealt a tough blow by a turnover early on that tested their mettle. After a Buccaneers punt pinned them down at their own 5 yard line, the Panthers seemed to escape with a huge run by Kian Minor. The run was called back to the 6 yard line on a holding penalty and Minor was forced to checkout of the game to catch his breath. Enter change of pace back Taiwan Jones, who promptly fumbled the ball away to give Tampa Bay possession at the 6. Tampa would capitalize on the turnover with a touchdown pass to Vincent Jackson to tie the game at 7 apiece. Jones would immediately redeem himself the next time he touched the ball, as he returned the ensuing kickoff 99 yards for a score and to take back the lead for Carolina.

The victory improves the Panthers to 12-1 on the season and holding the tie breaker over the New Orleans Saints ensures them the division title once again. The Panthers now shift their focus to securing a 1st round playoff bye as they travel to Arizona for a long awaited matchup with the always tough Cardinals.

Thanks! Yup, I just turned the volume all the way down for commentary. Just got tired of the same repetitive phrases. Also if I ever do full clip music, I can leave the game sounds in the background .
