    Panthers make it 4 in a row in barnburner!
    Charlotte, NC...AP..... In an epic clash of NFC South foes, it came down to the last play to decide this contest. Carolina quickly jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter on a Jonathan Stewart 2 YD TD run and then on an 18 YD screen pass TD from Cam Newton to Deangelo Williams. It looked as though the half was going to end that way until Matt Ryan hit Roddy White on a 47yd scoring toss with 35 seconds left in the half. On the ensuing drive the Panthers got greedy and tried to score again and it cost them dearly as Newton threw a pick six with 20 seconds in the half bringing the score to 17-14 heading into the locker room for halftime. Late in the contest, trailing 27-24 Newton found Steve Smith behind the defense and he rambled 74 yards to score with 10 seconds left. The Panthers squib kicked but left 2 seconds on the clock. A desperation hail mary was caught at the 2 yd line, but Roddy White was tackled at the goal line in a dramatic end to an epic contest.

    The Dolphins traveled out to Candlestick still trying to find an identify for themselves and they returned home with a loss but a plan in place. Coach UA watched as the 49ers physically pounded his defense and had him thinking back to his days as a college coach at Alabama. The Dolphin defense despite very little help from their offense fought hard and kept the Dolphins in the game with 3 picks, returning 1 for a TD. But in the end a fumble by the Dolphins at the 49er 3 yard line in the 4th Qtr was too much to over come and Miami lost a heart breaker 20-14.
    Great game biggcoug65 and thanks for showing me where I need to go with this team.
    Look for drastic changes from the Dolphins as they start retooling for next season.

    St Louis Rams - 38
    Buffalo Bills - 13

    The Rams behind their strong running attack finally broke through and got a much needed win against a solid Buffalo Bills squad. This game was won with defense and running the football and mixing up just enough passing to keep the Bills from stacking the line. The Rams rushed for 243 yards with rookie Isaac Pead leading the way with 140 yards on only 13 carries, one of which he took right up the guy for a long TD run.

    Defensively the Rams only gave up one offensive TD and allowed CJ Spiller a KR for a TD;

    This Rams team has played several teams close and hopefully with a solid offseason will be able to compete for a playoff spot next year.

    Texans Roll To Victory

    Texans would come out hot from the start in this game. The first score of the game would come off a turnover. Mallet would find Kevin Walter for a 18 yard TD. In the second quarter the Texans would take over. They would score again off another turn over as Arian Foster would cap off a drive with a 1 yard TD run. Foster would find the endzone again later in the quarter with a 2 yard TD run. The Texans would add on to their leads late in the quarter as Mallet would find Andre Johnson for a 56 yard TD. 28-0 Texans at half. In the third quarter the only TD would come on a 22 yard TD to who else but Gronk. The Texans would add a FG in the final quarter.

    Final Score:

    Washington Redskins 17, Baltimore Ravens 6

    RG3 struggled, throwing 4 INT, but the Redskin defense stepped up forcing 3 Ravens turnovers and not allowing Baltimore into the endzone. Tim Hightower rushed for over 100 yards and Roy Helu added a TD on the ground to control the clock and lead the Skins to a 6-7 record hoping to come back to .500 against the Browns.
