It may have taken almost the entire season, but the Baltimore Ravens finally seem to be heading in the right direction under first year coach Steve Halupka. The Ravens were able to knock off the Denver Broncos in Baltimore after forcing 7 turnovers in their 37-10 victory. The Raven D was able to swarm Broncos QB Peyton Manning throughout the game, forcing many early throws. The secondary was the beneficiary of those early throws, intercepting Manning 5 times (2 by Jimmy Smith, 1 by LaDarius Webb, Sean Considine and Cary Williams). Manning finished the day with 237 yards passing on 43 attempts. The turnovers also led to points, as Ed Reed was able to return a Broncos fumble 86 yards for a touchdown.
The Ravens were able to be balanced on offense after playing with a lead for most of the game. Ray Rice had one of his best games of the year rushing 27 times for 114 yards and 1 touchdown and caught 5 passes for 51 yards and a score as well. WR Torrey Smith also added in 4 catches for 49 yards and a score. The Broncos were led by Jacob Tamme who caught 5 passes for 88 yards and a TD of his own.
