The Week 2 match-up between these two teams went down to the wire with the Bucs coming away with a 16-15 win late in the game. This Week 15 match-up would be a polar opposite.

The Panthers would receive the opening kick-off and from that point the "Madden Gods" were not in csteud favor as the Bucs defense would cause and recover a fumble in Panthers territory. The Panthers defense would stand tall and force the Bucs to kick a 32yd FG. On the Panthers ensuing drive, QB Cam Newton would find more bad luck as a 3rd down pass to the right side would be tipped up and CB Sam Shields would literally make the shoestring interception again deep in Panthers territory. The Bucs offense would come through this time as HB Thyre Pendelton would punch it in from 1yd out.

The 2nd quarter did not change the luck of the Panthers as Newton was again picked off and Bucs QB Dennis Cox would find WR Mike Evans on the left sideline for the 24-yd TD pass. The Panthers fumble woes continued as Bucs FS would scoop up a loose ball and scamper 38yds for a Bucs defensive TD. Less than :60secs later Bucs LB Deion Felton would intercept Newton and find open field for the 37yard pick 6.

The Bucs would use a dominate run game and a safety late in the 3rd qtr. to prevent a Panthers comeback. Csteud and his Panthers fought hard the entire game but the Bucs defense was lights out on this Sunday.

GG CSteud . As I told you after the game, you got zero breaks and it never gave you a chance to get anything going. Look forward to our mathups next season.
