The Arizona Cardinals travelled to BOA Stadium this week to beat the Carolina Panthers 20-6. The Cardinals switched things up and showed off their ground game, with RBs Beanie Wells and Tim Hightower combining for 144 yards and both of Arizona’s two touchdowns. The Panthers had a frustrating day on offense and weren’t able to find the end zone. QB Matt Moore threw an interception on the first two drives for Carolina and would end the day with one more. Carolina managed to mount several impressive drives down the field with the help of star RB DeAngelo Williams but either turned the ball over or were held to field goals once in the red zone. Arizona faces their biggest challenge next week when they host the unbeaten Dallas Cowboys. INJURY NOTES In another blow to an already beat-up defense, the Cardinals lost safety Kerry Rhodes to a broken thumb this week. He is expected to be back for the first week of playoffs. Receiver Larry Fitzgerald and cornerback Anthony Henry were also shaken up on Sunday but managed to return to the game. Panther’s linebacker Thomas Davis went out with a broken collarbone and is not expected to be available for Carolina’s last two games.
