    REDSKINS BURN DOWN COWBOYS 23-13
6 Turnovers doom Dallas as Washington wins in Big D.

Dallas, TX - Although the Redskins playoff hopes had been dashed, Coach KO had promised the team would play tough down the stretch and would look to take teams out of the playoff picture. The first such team was the rival Dallas Cowboys.

The game would start off as many of the Redskins games have started off. FAST. After a short run by Portis, McNabb found a TJ Houshmanzadeh deep over the middle for a 79 yard touchdown reception. "That really settled down our team. It was a play we had executed in practice and it was great to see it work in our gameplan" said Coach KO.

The true story of the game however would be the ineptitude of the Dallas Cowboys. They were unable to hold on to the ball all day as the Washington Redskins defense was able to force 6 turnovers. Perhaps the biggest was a Laron Landry forced fumble on Marion Barber deep inside Redskins territory that kept Dallas off the scoreboard. The Redskins were able to take on the lead after another turnover as Tony Romo had trouble distinguishing the Garnet and Gold of the Redskins uniform. Graham Gano would kick a field goal consecutive field goals after turnovers to push the lead to 13.

The third quarter saw the Cowboys with renewed energy and a long drive. However, that drive stalled and Dallas was forced to kick the field goal to cut the lead back to 10. With the long drive, it appeared momentum had shifted back to the home team but all air was let out of the balloon for a short period when Clinton Portis found room on a draw play and scampered 45 yards for a touchdown and 20-3 lead.

Dallas was able to close the gap to 10 and kept it interesting as their defense really stifled the Redskins offense. However, the turnover bug constantly reared its ugly head. However, the biggest turnover on the Redskins side was perhaps its costliest as Laron Landry's interception in the final seconds resulted in a broken collarbone effectively ending his season.

    Next up is the Jags.....
