The Seahawks move to 9-5 after a great offensive performance against the Bears. David Garrard proved once again how great of a pickup he was. The running game wasn't working early so Seattle was forced to go with the pass and initially it was Mike Williams who stepped up and carried the Seahawks down the field. However, he would get injured and knocked out of the game in the 1st quarter right before Seattle's first TD.
After he went out though, the offense started to struggle some moving the ball and allowed the Bears to close it up to 7-6. Then, inside of 1 minute remaining, Garrard had been sacked on back-to-back plays giving the Seahawks a 3rd and long. The Bears, surprisingly, called a timeout when Seattle was willing to take that score into the half. This ended up burning Chicago as Garrard connected on a pass to Sidney Rice who broke a tackle and took it 72 yards for a TD to make it 14-6 at the half.
The 2nd half was all Marshawn Lynch. He took over the game and carried the offense. However, the Bears offense also found some mojo and was moving the ball effectively. So it turned into a seesaw battle. The Seahawks never surrendered the lead though. Late in the 4th quarter, the Bears scored a TD and got the 2 point conversion to make it an 8 point game. With just 17 seconds left, they went for an onside kick and actually recovered it. With little time and only 1 timeout though, they were unable to do anything with it other than attempt some hail mary passes.
