In what amounted to a playoff game for these two, the Texans were able to use a stifling defense and big play offense to pull out a decisive victory. The Texans were lead by wide receiver Kierre Hansen, who has really come into his own this year. Hansen grabbed 7 balls for 148 yards, setting the table all day for the Houston offense. Quarterback Mat Murphy connected on 2 short touchdown passes and Connor Barth added 3 field goals. The Texan defense pressured Titans QB Zack Mettenberger all day, totaling 3 sacks. FS Kendrick Lewis was the star of the day though, as he shut down a scoring threat with an interception and returned a fumble for a touchdown. This victory puts the Texans in the driver's seat for the AFC South Championship, creating a three way tie between the Titans, Jaguars and Texans. However, the Texans win the tie breaker with a 5-1 division record. If Houston can win out, they will secure a home game in the Wild Card round and the division title.
Good game heathh My team is hot right now, I'm just riding the wave. Good luck in your last two games.
