Minnesota continues its NFC North dominance with 27-24 win over the Packers. This Week 15 matchup featured the OMFL's top two rushing leaders. Rookie Brandon Bouttee is leading the league in rushing but only 40-yds behind sits veteran superstar Adrian Peterson and these HBs would not disappoint. Peterson and his Vikings struck first blood when Peterson would bob & weave through the the Packers defense for the amazing 19-yd TD run. Bouttee would not be outdone as he would find a huge hole right in the middle of the Viking defense and race 83-yds for the score on the Packers 2nd offensive play from scrimmage. Viking K Steven Hauschka would close out the 1st qtr scoring with a 19-yd FG after a great goal line stand by the Pack. 1st qtr Vikes-10 Pack-7 Late in the 2nd qtr. the Packers would take theit first lead of the game when FB Quinn Johnson would bulldoze his way into the endzone from 2-yds out. The Vikings would answer back with less than a minute on the 2nd quarter clock as Peterson would find paydirt for his 2nd first half TD, this one from 9-yds away. HALF Vikes-17 Pack-14 Both defenses stiffened up in the 3rd quarter as the only score was when Packers K Mason Crosby tied the game with a 45-yd FG. 3rd Qtr. Vikes-17 Pack-17 Vikings K Steven Hauschka would answer back early in the 4th with a 53-yd FG of his own. With 2:17 remaining Packers HB L.Focus would cap off a great drive with a 1-yd TD run. This TD would give the Packers a 24-20 lead. Vikings QB Eli Manning would then lead his team on a beautiful 2:00 minute drive that ended in a 14-yd TD pass from Manning to Rice on 4th down with :02 remaining on the clock. A squib kick would end the Packers hopes. HB Brandon Bouttee would finish the day with 191-yds on 23 attempts and Peterson would finish his day with 154 yds on 17 att and 2 TDs.
