QB Cam Newton thrives in Tempe

The Carolina Panthers were able to put up some points against the Arizona Cardinals this afternoon, all because of their superstar QB Cam Newton. Newton returned back to the stadium that gave him his BCS championship, and he played like the old days at Auburn. Not only did he rush for a 28 yard td (designed play) but he threw for another one in the victory. His passes were crisp and his decision making was spot on today. The defense was able to withstand a late comeback to hold off the Cardinals 27-17. The killer for Arizona were the early turnovers. GG sdid22

    AP Don't Play That
Adrian Peterson leads the Vikings to their 3rd straight victory, 31-28.

The Minnesota Vikings welcomed the New York Giants led by Coach Cimmy24 to Mall of America Field today. A big game that had playoff implications. Both coaches don't like to lose to one another so it was a very serious game. It was an ugly 1st half that saw the score 28-0 with 3 AP touchdowns. The Giants came out strong in the 2nd half and almost managed to pull out the victory. Santonio Holmes and Bryan Anthony were a big key to this comeback and with the loss of Jordan Shipley on a Larry Keoodoum hit, they had to be. Adrian finished with 193 yards and 3 touchdowns. Chris Ivory got a lot of work and ended up with 15 carries for 48 hard yards. Laquon "The Don" grabbed an INT as well as "The Franchise" Frantanzy Watson, that added 2 to his season resume.

MJD KICKS ASS...RAMS SURVIVE WITH CRAZY END TO 1ST HALF
    Beat Jaguars 38-21

The story of the game was what happened with 2 mins left in the half of a 7-7 game. First, Jacob Tamme would score a 4 yard TD to make the game 14-7 with 1:57 left. Looking to move down the field the Jaguars came out and Gabbert tried to hit MJD in the flat, but instead threw it into the hands of Brandon Fletcher who housed it for a 19 yard pick 6. Then, on the very next play, Gabbert looked to hit his WR on a slant but it was read perfectly by Patrick Robinson who stepped infront of the pass and returned it to the 7 yard line, where Freeman would take it in on the first play for the Rams. 17 seconds = 21 points for the Rams, and from that point forward it was an uphill battle for the Jaguars. MJD did do his best to keep the team in this one with two TD runs of 55 and 76 yards, as he ended the day with a ridiculous 196 yards on only 16 carries as he really beat the sh*t out of the Rams front 7 today.
The Rams look to close out the season against the Cowboys and Titans, two games against tough opponents.

Kansas City D Picks Up Their First Shutout
    [IMG]
Both sides of the football offensively and defensively play well in this game. The first score of the game came on a decent drive by the Chiefs which was capped off with a Beanie Wells touchdown run from 2 yards. The only score of the second quarter was when Ryan Succop made a 19 yard field goal. In the third quarter, Jay Cutler who had his best game of the year would find Dwayne Bowe for a 51 yard touchdown. This would make the score 17-0 Chiefs. Later on in the third quarter Ryan Succop would get his second field goal of the game to give the Chiefs a commanding 20-0 lead. In the fourth the Chiefs would pick up another field goal and finished the game strong.

    Final score:

    Kansas City Chiefs 23

    Indianapolis Colts 0

Niners defeat the Hawks in Seattle 36-10. The Hawks QB is turrible.
