Say What?Dez and Co get a much needed win, 41-16
Going into today's game there was no chance for a victory for the Cowboys. The naysayers had written a big green W in the left hand column for the Saints. There was none. zero. zilch. nada, whatever you want to call it. But, there was one factor that nobody really saw coming. WR Dez Bryant. Bryant absolutely had the game of his life and was in complete rhythm and harmony with QB Tony Romo. Bryant would have touchdown catches of 76, 88, and 25 before halftime. Dez would set a Cowboys record for receiving yards, with 226. There was still another factor that saw the last ranked defense go out and stop the high flying Saints offense. The Doomsday D would pick off 3 passes, and take two of them to the house late. Saints QB Drew Brees seemed confused and way out of rhythm in the second half. The Saints would only score 3 points after halftime, and the Cowboys were able to complete the victory with a score of 41-16. GG NeuroticTruth
DEFENSE PLAYS WELL IN 30-10 VICTORY! DEFENSE RECORDS 4 SACKS OF QB SAM BRADFORD HOLD THE RAMS TO JUST 30 RUSHING YARDS FREEMAN THROWS FOR 224YDS AND 2 TD'S ROOKIE HB DOUG MARTIN RUSHES FOR 91 YDS AND A TD MIKE WILLIAMS LEADS TEAM WITH 82 YDS AND A TD GG OMlawdog
VS - 31 - 6 The Dolphins improved their record to 7-8 on the year after defeating the Bills and avenging a week 11 to Buffalo. Miami was leading 27-0 with about 1:30 left in the 3rd Qtr when the EA servers decided this was enough and dropped us. In the replay of the game bcduggan went on auto and the Dolphins faced the virtual Bills and were able to finally pull away in part to a Andre Goodman pick 6 in the 3rd Qtr. Good Game bcduggan in the first one before EA decided to get involved LOL.
Texans Get a Key WThis was a must win for the Texans after their hard loss vs Colts. The Vikes would get the only score of the first quarter on a 36 yard FG by Walsh. In the second quarter, the Texans would take the lead back. It would come on a 62-yard TD pass from Mallet to Johnson. The Texans would get the next score with only 49 second left on the clock, as Mallet would find Daniels for a 23 yard TD. 14-3 Houston at halftime. The Vikes would respond in the third quarter with a 7-yard TD pass to Harvin. In the fourth quarter, the Vikes would take the lead back on another pass to Harvin. Houston would grab it back with another long 59-yard TD pass to Houshmandzadeh. The Vikes would get many shots to get the lead back, but they just could not get down the field. Final Score: 21 17
Seahawks 24 - 49ers 31
The 49ers needed a win against division rival Seattle to keep their hopes of getting a first round bye in the playoffs. Alex Smith was not sharp all game as he threw 6 INT's, but the defense kept them in it and Kendall Hunter was the one who won it for the 49ers basically as he went for 224 yards on 20 carries, including an 84 yard TD run right up the middle after juking a guy in the hole then bursting into the open space to get the TD and help the 49ers hang on to the victory.
gg @CPU, you were tough as an interim coach
Doing It RightEli Manning Shows Yet Again Why He Is Elite. Giants 52 Baltimore 49 Baltimore, MD - It is never easy to get a road win, unless you're playing in Cleveland. It is also never easy to get a road win in Baltimore, especially if you're Cleveland. Quite possibly the hardest thing to do is score over 50 points against the vaunted Ravens defense....50 points and Cleveland just are never in the same sentence. The Giants made sure to seal all three on Sunday in a huge win against Baltimore. Not only did New York score 52 points, but the Ravens came 1-point shy of meeting 50 as well. A 101 point total in this game that saw what usually are two of the best defenses absolutely collapse in the passing game. 1,041 yards combined passing and 10 total passing touchdowns made for a historic day on the Inner Harbor. Eli Manning also saw his 3rd perfect passer rating on the season as he went for 5 Touchdowns and 497 YDs on the day, without throwing a single interception. Something he hasn't done in awhile this season. For the Ravens, Joe Flacco also had a huge day. Despite 3 interceptions, he also threw 5 Touchdowns and 544 yards. His go to receiver's were Torrey Smith (8 Receptions, 231 YDs w/ 2 TDs) and TE Dennis Pitta (7 Receptions, 125 YDs and 2 TDs), but don't forget WR Anquan Boldin who hauled in 6 for 118 YDs. HB Ray Rice played a key part yet again in the Ravens passing attack, catching 4 passes for 47 YDs and a Touchdown. He also rushed for 53 YDs and a Touchdown on the day. The Giants leaders were nothing new for Big Blue. Victor Cruz (3 for 153), Hakeem Nicks (4 for 71) , and Martellus Bennett (5 for 112) each record a Touchdown reception, 2 for Cruz. Stepping up big in this game was rookie WR Reuben Randle who hauled in 5 receptions for 63 YDs, moving the ball for New York and keeping it out of the hot hands of Flacco. Rookie TE Adrien Robinson also made headlines, as his lone 73 yard TD reception was the first play for the Giants in this game. Defensively, S Antrel Rolle sealed the game for New York with his 2 Interceptions on Flacco, reading the defense and making the play. Despite already clinching Playoff birth, the Giants are extremely excited for their week 17 game against the Philadelphia Eagles
lol, what's with the Cleveland bashing?
Idk, I felt like it....
Jaguars Get Win #3 With Dominating Effort
Jacksonville, FL - Despite having the 2nd worst record in the NFL this season, this game was never in doubt. The Jacksonville Jaguars dominated the New England Patriots offensively and defensively. For much of this season, the Jaguars have found themselves unbalanced and 1 dimensional. That wasn't the case today. Blaine Gabbert was on target and hitting numerous targets while Maurice Jones-Drew put in one of his best performances of the season to push him over 1000 yards. The Patriots didn't really have a response to that. On the other end of the ball, the Patriots couldn't move the ball on the ground and star QB Tom Brady really struggled. Brady's completion percentage was under 50% and he would only get 108 yards while throwing 0 TDs and 2 INTs. On the ground, the Patriots only had 33 rushing yards averaging about 2 yards per carry.
