Big huge game with playoff implications all over the place for the Bengals tonight. The Bengals came in and had one game plan, hang on to the ball! For the first time in weeks they did just that. Intercepting Flacco 3 times while not turning the ball over themselves. Bengals take the division with a tough tough win tonight 23-17. The game was really about field position for the most part after 2 Keith Rivers int's the Bengals kept settling for FG's. It did hurt early as they could not get a comfortable lead and after Dominick Foxworth took a kick back for a TD the Bengals felt the pressure and fell behind. With the score 14-10 after a nice Ray Rice TD run the Bengals took the ball into the redzone at the end of the half. On 1st and goal Chad85 caught a pass and was tackled at the one inch line with 3 seconds left in the half. After a long time thinking the Bengals took the 3 to make it 14-13. The second half was a lot of defense as neither team really wanted to take control. However the Berbard Scott who found yards hard to come by did take a 3rd and goal draw in for a TD making it 20-14. The Ravens went on a nice drive but A Boldin was tackled a little short on 3 down and they had to settle for a FG making it 20-17 in the 4th. The Bengals would stand tall on D and had the ball 2 times around mid field looking to put the game away but could not do so. The Bengals would kick a long FG to make it 23-17 just under 3 minutes left. The Ravens started to move the ball a little bit but Leon Hall would jump a route and pick Flacco once again to seal the game for the most part. The Ravens did have a chance to make a stop with about 1 minute left but the Bengals finally picked up a 3rd down on the ground. The Ravens had stuffed plenty of 2nd and 3rd and shorts all game. The win gives Coach DJ Dunn his first playoff appearence ever and a date with the Jets wildcard weekend. Good Game Weblink you are going to be a tough team next season with a couple tweaks and growth from Flacco. Rookie TE Jermaine Gresham had 7 catches in the one as well as Eddie Royal, Bernard Scott did manage 2 TD's.
