    San Francisco 49ers 45 - Dallas Cowboys 21
    San Francisco, CA

The Cowboys came into San Francisco looking to go 2-0 and the Niners were looking to start the season 2-0 before heading on the road the next couple weeks. The 49ers stopped the Cowboys offense on the first drive of the game, and then proceeded to run the ball pretty much all the way down field with Frank Gore. Gore took the ball from the Cowboys 22 yard line and ran it in to open up the scoring in a game that would see plenty of that. On the next Cowboys drive, Tony Romo threw an interception to Shawntae Spencer. A few plays later, the Niners would throw a screen pass to Noel Devine and he would run it in untouched from 40 yards out to make it 14-0 San Fran. On the Cowboys next play from scrimmage, Romo would chuck it deep for Miles Austin, and Carlos Rogers miss-played the pass and Austin caught it and ran it in for an 85 yard TD pass to make it 14-7 to end the 1st quarter. The 2nd quarter the Niners outscored the Cowboys 24-7 as Braylon Edwards would catch 2 TD passes from Kaepernick from 15 and 4 yards out, and Gore would run one in from 56 yards out. The Cowboys only score in the 2nd quarter was a 55 yard pass from Romo to Austin again. The score at halftime was 38-14.
In the 2nd half, the Niners would not pass it very much as they were protecting the lead and each team scored 1 TD, making the final score 45-21.
