    Aggie Assault

The Aggies came out firing in the 2012 season. A complete team effort lead them to a 42-7 romp of opponent North Texas. The player of the day was Aggie CB David Johnson who picked NT QB Riley Dodge off on the first drive of the game and took it back to the endzone to give New Mexico State an early lead. North Texas came back however less than a minute later, marching down field and scoring to the let the Aggie's know they were still here to play. However JuCo transfer QB Dustin Luke came in and showed the New Mexico State faithful that he was all that was advertised. The Aggies prize recruit from last season did no disappoint in his debut, running the NMSU offense with precision. Luke lead the Aggies on four scoring drives for the day.

Big man on campus however had to be CB David Johnson. On top of his first drive INT return for a TD he scooped a fumble early in the 4th quarter and took it back 54 yards to put the nail in the coffin and end all hopes of a comeback for North Texas.

Johnson finished the day with 8 tackles, 1 INT, 1 FumRecovery, and 2 DTD.

Wideout Austin Franklin finished the day with receptions for 116 yds and 2 TD.

QB Dustin Luke went 24-34 for 306 4TD 1INT in his debut.

I got some recap stuff planned but cant get to it now so ill just get something up now with my feedback.

first note: this was the first game on NCAA i have played since about a week before the release madden this year. its been a while.
I wanted to come out with a short quick passing attack and i remembered immediately how much different NCAA is then madden. but my mind didnt transition well and the beginning of the game was a big wash out on my part. one play while rolling out i couldnt figure out what button threw it away and i eventually pitched it for a defensive touchdown. the defense scored twice on the day. I was under so much pressure i couldnt find anything quick and it killed my gameplan. I got in hunting mode and had to make some big plays to stay in the game and was able to. Bishop played well with the exception of losing 2 fumbles and a bad throw behind an open WR on one of his 2 interceptions. He nearly reached 300 yards with 4 TDs while the backup Stump Godfrey completed his only pass for a 69 yard TD. Bishop felt like Jay Cutler out there, getting sacked 8 times and constantly under big pressure. and this is only to UTEP

LaDarius got the bulk of the rushing today and averaged nearly 5 YPC while showing good potential. The big stat of the day was of the 13 completions, 7 different players made a catch and 5 different players scored.

my defense played outstanding. its hard to tell when you see 42 points against but 2 TDs were on offense and 2 TDs were late in the game when the offense had less then 20 yards to go. another TD was early on a BS 75+ yard run where the HB would not be tackled. UTEP was able to mount one solid drive tat resulted in a TD but otherwise i outplayed them. 4 sacks, an INT and 2 FR.

I'll get better with more time with the team. as young as the squad is, i was pleased with the result

    SJSU - 23
    SDSU - 17

Spartans come back from 17-2 second half defecit, finishing the game on a 21-0 run. True freshman QB Willie Small got the nod at QB, going 19/41 with 2 TD and 2 INT. The running game didn't work well, but our defense was flying all over the field in the second half, shutting out the Aztecs. This victory makes up for the choke job of last year when SJSU gave up a lead in the 4th and lost to SDSU.

Memphis rolls in the season opener, taking down ECU 63-21. I pretty much did whatever I wanted. After they no-huddled their way to a quick 7-0 lead my first offensive play of the year was a 68-yard touchdown on a simple dive by Jerrell Rhodes. After trading punts I ran in a pick-6 and the route was on. After mass subbing in the third I ended up taking a couple of delay of game penalties to keep from scoring in the 4th.

Justin McKnight caught a touchdown over he outstretched arms of his defender, and he also housed a 40 yard jet sweep.

Great day to be a Tiger.

I'd like to add a big FU for screwing up the no-huddle. I don't use it but whenever the CPU does it screws up the defenses I can call. And ECU ran no huddle after everything but incompletes. That's going to get really annoying if it's a close game.

Yes, that's almost as annoying as every team in the game running the no huddle as if they were OU. Pitt ran that shit every play as did TCU in my other league.

Yea that crap is extremely frustrating. I played houston in fuzzy logics league and they did the same and I was forced to run out of dime when I wanted 3-2-6 etc etc.

Not gonna lie, I've turned to supersimming defensive possessions against no-huddle teams after this 2nd patch

I'm thinking about either bringing back the All NP team or an all freshmen team. Thoughts?
