Adrian Peterson and Vikes hold on! The Bucs rode into Minnestota after a tough loss at home to the Lions and the Vikes did'nt have a good showing visiting the chargers on opening day last week. Both teams were searching for their first win in 2011. The Bucs started out hot in the first quarter Freeman found open receivers and drove right down the field and capped off the opening drive with a TD pas to K2 Kellen Winslow who finished the game with a game high (8 Catches for 198 yards and 2 TD's). Ponder and the Vikes drove down the field themselves with nice running by Adrian Peterson who fininshed with (22 Attempts for 144 yards and 3 td's) timely passing from the rookie ponder but the drive stalled and the Vikes had to settle for a field goal. The next few possesions turnovers started taking over the game Freeman who fininshed (23/37 394 yards 2td's 4int's) Threw interceptions to Husain Abdullah and EJ henderson which stalled drives for the Bucs. The Vikes took advantage of the turnovers and scored 2 td's in the second quarter and had a chance to score at the end of the half from the 5 yard line with 10 seconds to go but Ponder who was 24/37 for 282 yards and 2 int's) threw one of his picks in the game to Geno Hayes as they went into the locker room. The third quarter was back and forth scoring for the most part at the end of the quarter Adrian Perterson busted through the Bucs line and ran for a 61 yard TD that seemingly busted open the game. The Bucs were not through though and the 4 quarter belonged to them as Freeman got hot and found K2 and Lagarret Blount had a rushing td (17 Att for 96 yards 2 Td's) to eventually take the lead 32-31 with 1:20 seconds left in the 4 quarter. Ponder ran the two minute offense like a seasoned pro hitting Bernard Berrian on a big play to get the Vikes in field goal range. Longwell came in and nailed a 47 yard fied goal with :08 seconds left for the win and ending a great and exciting game.
