Week 2: Chiefs 30, Browns 17 Cleveland, OH - It wasn't pretty, but the Kansas City Chiefs definately showed some life and improvement in their week 2 win on the road against the Cleveland Browns. Even if it was against a team who seems to be near shambles. Even if it was against a team that resembled the 2008 Chiefs. A win is a win. The Good: Kick Returners - Javier Arenas got the Chiefs rolling with a 98-yard punt return before the offense had even played a down. Arenas also showed some flashes on 3 other punt returns and a few kickoffs. Dexter McCluster also showed some flash returning a kickoff for a touchdown before it was called back due to holding. Defense - Aside from a long drive resulting in a TD after the defense was on the field for most of the first quarter, they shut down Cleveland's offense for most of the game. The defense also intercepted Jake Delhomme 3 times. The Bad: Offense - Matt Cassel threw 3 interceptions and for 3 quarters, the Chiefs running game was shut down. The Chiefs must find a way to move the ball more effectively early in the game. The Ugly: Ryan Succup - He hit his only field goal attempt, but missed 2 extra points. When asked about it, he said, "I dunno. I can't really explain it but to say that it must have been due to higher powers."
