Coming off a disappointing loss to the Panthers, the niners looked to rebound against a very tough Cowboys team. This game was as tough as I predicted if not tougher. Marvis plays one hell of a game and always gives his team a chance to win.

The game started off rather slow as both teams struggled with their first possession. Tony Romo threw a pick on his first series and the niners turned it into 7 with a Josh Morgan TD from Alex Smith. Not to be outdone, Romo marches down the field and connects with Miles Austin on a 71 yard bomb. The next 49ers series finds Alex Smith hitting a wide open Vernon Davis on a 54 yard pass to put the 9ers ahead, 14-7. Not to be outdone the Cowboys come right back and tie it as Romo finds a wide open Ogletree over the middle. A late Cowboy FG puts the boys ahead by 3 going into half.

The 9ers got the ball to open the second and couldn't get anything going. The Cowboys took advantage as Romo hits Felix Jones for a 8 yard TD pass to go up 24-14. That's when unsung hero Ted Ginn takes over. On the ensuing kickoff Ginn takes it 77 yards to give the 49ers excellent field position. A few plays later Alex Smith finds Vernon Davis for a 14 yard TD, to pull the 49ers within 3. Cowboys didn't flinch and on a 4th and 1 at the 9ers one, Romo finds Ogletree once again to go up by 10 heading into the 4th.

Patrick Willis had a defense only meeting going into that quarter and told everyone to step their game up. Midway thru the fourth, a pumped up Ted Ginn catches a 9 yard TD pass from Alex Smith to pull within 3 again, 28-31. With less than 4 minutes to go Dallas needs a few first downs to seal the victory. However, the defense actually steps up a forces a Dallas punt. Ted Ginn fields the punt and takes it 73 yards to the house to give the niners the lead 35-31 with a little over 2 minutes to go. On the next series for the Cowboys, Patrick Willis who had 9 tackles and 1 sack, hit's Tony Romo as he's throwing the ball. The ball sails right into backup LB Ahmad Brooks hands, who was only playing as starter Parys Harralson was suffering from back spasms. A few running plays and kneel down sealed the victory.
