Week 2: Denver goes to 2-0 with 24-7 win over the Chiefs

    For the second week in a row in Denver, the hometown Broncos would come away wit ha home win, this time against division foe Kansas City Chiefs. The visiting Chiefs would strike first after a long drive highlighted by some big gains by star HB Jamaal Charles and capped off with a 3 yard TD pass from Alex Smith to junior Hemingway. But the rest of the game was all Broncos as they would score 24 unanswered points on the strength of Peyton Mannings 3 TDS to 3 different receivers, Wes Welker, Julius Thomas and Andre Caldwell. The leading rusher of the game was Charles, running for 85 yards on 13 carries and Welker would lead all receivers with 4 catches for 49 yards on the day. Next week, the Broncos hit the road to take on the Seattle Seahawks in the leagues toughest stadium to play in.
